Let’s support our fellow Isinay!

The Isinay have been one of the pioneer weavers in the North.

Their designs and style of weaving have been shared to other tribes and up until now their woven skirts and funeral blankets will show the creativity and skill of the Isinay weavers.

The last known Isinay Weaver, Felipa Mayangat Castillo, was from the late 70’s and it was only last 2020 that weaving was introduced again to the Isinay community, with the help of Aruga Handwovens, Isinay Advocates Inc. and the provincial and local government of Dupax Del Sur, Nueva Vizcaya.

Visit Aruga Handwovens’ booth at The Likhang HABI Market Fair on Oct. 10-12, 2025 at SPACE, One Ayala, Makati City and support our Isinay weavers.
