An amazing week of connections, conversations, and sharing a little Alaska at Future Leaders in Travel! ✨

Kara joined an incredibly talented group of travel advisors and industry partners for panels, presentations, sharing ideas, and a chance to learn from each other across the travel industry.

A big thank you to Future Leaders, TravelAge West, and Northstar Travel Group for bringing together such an inspiring group.

And of course, we brought a little Alaska along. 🫎 🐻 Our Take the Wild With You social media challenge sent 75 Alaska stuffed animals out on adventures throughout the conference. We absolutely LOVED seeing all the creative posts from advisors.

Hillery works behind the scenes with our Shared Services team, helping make sure FAM trips, materials, and all the little details come together.

She’s also the one helping get our guides, planners, and even those very important Alaska stuffed animals where they need to go. 😊

When she’s not making things happen for our team, you might find her out riding her bike around Anchorage!

Meet Alex Wong! 👋

Born in Hawai’i, Alex was raised in Anchorage and spends as much time as possible in remote parts of the state.

He can be found fly fishing, camping and exploring around Alaska. He is passionate about sharing our great state with both international and domestic visitors.


🐏 What’s your best Alaska wildlife sighting? A bachelor band of 12 Dall sheep rams in the Brooks Range in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

📷 What’s one thing you always bring on an Alaska adventure? High-quality binoculars and camera.

🐟 What’s your favorite Alaska dish? Black Cod or Sablefish!

🐏 Which Alaska animal matches your personality? Dall Sheep. I like being high in the mountains in remote parts of Alaska.

🎣 What’s your perfect day off in Alaska? Fly fishing on a stream or river.

🧥 What’s one Alaska travel tip you always share? Bring layers and a good raincoat.

It's National Park Week! It's the perfect time to come see our two visitor centers before they close for the season.

In fact, the Exit Glacier Nature Center will be extending its days open through Friday, September 11th.

The Kenai Fjords Visitor Center in the Seward small boat harbor will close after September 7th as originally scheduled.
