Our team spent last week in Fairbanks for the ATIA Annual Convention & Trade Show! ❄️

ATIA brings together tourism businesses and partners from across Alaska for industry updates and education. We always love catching up with our Visit Anchorage members and friends from around the state.

This year’s theme “Life in a Northern Town” also gave us a chance to climb into a giant snow globe. 😆

Eight travel advisors from across the country joined Heather and Alex for our fall Anchorage Wild Expert FAM! 🍂🏔️

Alaska really showed off with peak fall colors and wildlife sightings including black bears, moose, mountain goats, humpbacks, harbor seals, and more. 🐻🐋

Highlights included cruising Prince William Sound with Phillips Cruises & Tours, LLC, glacier walking and flightseeing with Alpine Air Alaska, relaxing at Alyeska Nordic Spa , dogsledding with Susitna Sled Dog Adventures - Rohn and Alyssa Buser, visiting the Alaska Native Heritage Center, and riding the Alaska Railroad.

Such a fun group to host!

I couldn't possibly put today into words 🥹

We spent the day on the Phillips 26 Glacier Cruise, and man, talk about core memories. Dall's porpoises were swimming right under our feet. There were so many otters and seals I stopped counting, a sea lion lounging around, and then the best surprise of all: two humpback whales. 🐋

We got to watch the glacier calve, and I even tasted actual glacier ice. 🧊

Now we're winding down at Alyeska Resort with some Nordic spa time, and honestly, I think my heart is still out on the water. What a day. What a journey. 💙
