The French people know that the best part of France is the South. Medieval villages, grand castles, city squares with cafes and markets, narrow str

✨ Saint Émilion: One of Our Favorite Villages in France! 🇫🇷

The village is world-famous for its prestigious wines🍇🍷—but we love it just as much for its breathtaking beauty and rich history. Nestled in the heart of Bordeaux’s vineyards, this medieval village has charming cobbled streets, stunning views, and an irresistible old-world feel.

Oh, and one of the most fascinating parts of St Émilion is actually hidden underground! ⛪✨ Beneath the village lies a network of tunnels and the largest monolithic church in Europe, carved directly into the limestone. These underground wonders are open to visitors, and on our tour, we get to explore them firsthand!

✨Experience the magic of St Émilion with us on our 8-day Bordeaux & Dordogne tour in 2026! 👉 https://tripusafrance.com/bordeaux-dordogne-tour/

🐎 The Iconic Camargue Horse of Southern France 🐎

⭐ A Horse Shaped by Nature:
Small, strong, and perfectly adapted to this wild landscape, these horses have roamed the Rhône Delta for thousands of years. With their sturdy hooves built for marshes and their incredible endurance, they are truly one with their environment.

⭐ Born Dark, Turns White:
Camargue horses are not born with their signature grayish-white coats. Foals enter the world dark—black, brown, or bay—but as they age, their coat gradually lightens due to a genetic trait called the gray gene.

⭐ Partners of the Gardians:
For centuries, these horses have been essential to the Gardians (the cowboys and cowgirls of the Camargue). Trained from the age of 3, they learn to herd the region’s famous black bulls. By the time they reach 5 or 6 years old, their bond with their rider is so strong that they can anticipate movements before being guided.

⭐ The Failed Warhorse Experiment:
In the 1600s, King Louis XIII attempted to breed Camargue horses into warhorses by introducing larger stallions from Northern France. But the newcomers could not survive the tough, wet conditions of the Camargue.

⭐ A Symbol of the Wild Camargue:
Unlike many other horse breeds, Camargue horses live in semi-wild conditions, roaming freely through the marshes without shelter. This tough environment has shaped their legendary strength, intelligence, and independence.

📍Join us in the South of France and experience the beauty of the Camargue firsthand!
