Together we explored the coast of Normandy, the villages of Provence and Languedoc, the wild marshes of the Camargue, the river valleys of the Dordogne and the vineyards of Bordeaux. We’ll treasure the shared meals around long tables, the laughter on the bus, the conversations that began between strangers and ended between friends. 🥖🍷

From Missouri to the French Resistance: the incredible life of Josephine Baker 🇫🇷✨

She was born into poverty in St. Louis. She became the biggest star of Jazz Age Paris. Then, during World War II, she became a spy. 🎖️

Josephine Baker arrived in Paris in the 1920s as a young dancer and captivated France with her talent and fearless personality. She became a French citizen in 1937, and when war came, she used her fame and international travel as cover to carry secret information for French intelligence and the Resistance.

Her refuge through it all? A fairytale château in the Dordogne. 🏰

At the Château des Milandes, in the heart of the Périgord Noir, Baker built her dream of family and fraternity. She adopted 12 children from around the world, her “Rainbow Tribe,” and made the château her home for more than 30 years. 🌈❤️

In 2021, France honored her with a place in the Panthéon, making her the first Black woman to receive the nation’s highest tribute.

Some places make you stop and wonder: How did they build this 2,000 years ago? 🤯

The Pont du Gard is one of them. This spectacular Roman aqueduct rises above the Gardon River in the south of France, a remarkable feat of engineering that carried water across the landscape and helped supply the ancient city of Nîmes. 🏛️💧

Today, it’s one of France’s most extraordinary ancient monuments, and seeing its massive stone arches in person is something you won’t soon forget. 🇫🇷✨ Whether you’re fascinated by Roman history, architecture, or simply love discovering remarkable places, the Pont du Gard is well worth a visit.

The Musée de l’Orangerie is celebrating the centenary of Claude Monet’s death with a special exhibition honoring the master of light, color, and Impressionism.

A selection of almost forty of Monet’s paintings, mostly from the Musée d’Orsay’s and Musée Marmottan Monet’s collections, along with loans from French and international public and private collections, will highlight these successive phases, with particular emphasis on the Nymphéas

Aix’s markets are a feast for the senses. Spread through the historic heart of the city, the market brings together colorful & seasonal produce, fragrant herbs, beautiful flowers, and an irresistible array of local treasures. 🌸🍑🌿🧺

You’ll find artisanal products like honey, jams, and olive oils, along with beautiful fabrics from tablecloths to clothing, ceramics, cutlery, and so much more! It’s lively, colorful, delicious, and wonderfully French—the kind of place where you’ll want to slow down and simply wander.

And that’s exactly how we experience it on our 8-day South of France tour. Guests have free time to explore the market at their own pace, browse the stalls, discover local specialties, and soak up the atmosphere. NEW ADDITION! 🌿🇫🇷 In 2026, we added the spectacular Gardens of Marqueyssac to our 8-day Bordeaux & Dordogne Tour—and we’re thrilled to be making it part of the journey for future years, too!

Known in French as the “Jardins Suspendus de Marqueyssac” (Hanging Gardens), these remarkable gardens sit high above the Dordogne River. They’re famous for their 150,000 hand-pruned boxwood plants, winding paths, dramatic viewpoints, and sweeping views across the valley. 🌳🏰✨ From the gardens, you can look out over the Beynac Castle and the Castelnaud Castle!

It’s a wonderful addition to a tour already filled with beautiful landscapes, medieval villages, and fascinating history. We can’t wait to share Marqueyssac with our travelers! 💚🇫🇷

✨Some evenings on our tours are simply unforgettable. ❤️

On our South of France tour, every group gets to spend an evening with Julia’s parents, Stéphane and Cathy, who welcome our travelers like old friends. 🇫🇷 The evening begins with pétanque, one of France’s favorite pastimes. Stéphane teaches everyone the basics of tossing the metal boules as close as possible to the little wooden target ball—and before long, a friendly game turns into plenty of laughter, cheering, and a little good-natured competition! 🎯 😄

After pétanque, everyone gathers for a buffet dinner, where Stéphane often brings out his guitar and entertains the group with a song or two. 🎶 It’s a simple evening, but one that captures so much of what we love about our tours: good food, good company, lots of laughter, and the chance to share a truly French experience together. 🥖 🍷

These are the moments that bring a group together and become some of the favorite memories of the trip. 🇫🇷❤️ These are the people who make the trip feel like family.
