Around Bellingham, WA and Whatcom County we are transitioning from bountiful local berries to another type of delicious fruit - apples! 🍎

Bellewood Farms & Distillery kicks off their apple u-pick season tomorrow (September 5)! Running through late October, stop by this 62-acre property to pick your own apples Wednesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

🌽More activities too! Ride in the apple bin train, wander through the corn maze, and c***r donuts will also be available on weekends throughout the season!

🚲 The Mt. Baker Hill Climb is an epic annual event in Whatcom County! 450 racers will bike 22 miles up scenic Highway 542 through the Mount Baker Wilderness and ending at Artist Point.

ℹ️ The sold out event is happening this year on September 13. ⚠️ Visitors planning a trip to the area should know that this segment of the Mt. Baker Highway will be closed to general traffic in both directions from 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. [Race starts at Snowater Rd.]

There’s something timeless about riding the Plover across the waters of Blaine — the flag waving in the breeze, the harbor behind you, and the feeling of traveling aboard a vessel that has been part of Blaine’s maritime story for generations.

Only 4 operating days remain this season:

🍂 🎶 Spend the fall celebrating music in Lynden, WA!

For 16 years, The Lynden Music Festival has featured performances and events that are meant to uplift the community through a variety of musical genres. Save the dates for the five-day festival, October 7-11.

🥃 Coming up soon on September 12! You can also help support the Lynden Music Festival by attending the Lynden Wh***ey Event. Each ticket includes 5 tasting tokens. Stop by participating businesses that will be hosting 13 Washington distilleries and hear live music at each location. There will also be music at the Main Stage on 5th St., including headliner Nite Wave.

Ahoy to those both arriving and departing for Alaska adventures! ⚓

🚢 Since 1989, Bellingham, WA has been the farthest you can visit south on the Alaska Marine Highway (Alaska State Ferry) ! The hub is the Port of Bellingham Cruise Terminal, where every Friday morning visitors arrive and then the ferry departs again in the evening.

Travelers can dine on Port Fairhaven Fish N Chips right in the terminal or explore nearby Fairhaven Village.
