What Our GCP Parents Are Saying…
“Raising young minds is a balancing act between protecting and preparing our children for the world. To protect our children, we often end up stifling them from what they need most—independence, the opportunity to grow, make decisions, and form their own educated opinions.
The Global Citizen Program provides exactly this, creating a safe environment for middle school and high school students to travel the world, experience other cultures, and make lasting friendships and memories.
This summer I sent my 13-year-old daughter on her first trip with The Global Citizen Program to southern France, Monaco, Spain, and Morrocco. She experienced the medieval village of Eze, the famous Casino Square in Monte Carlo, the marketplace in Tangier, the Alhambra palace and fortress, kayaking in Seville, museums in Madrid, and the intersection of Christian, Jewish, and Muslim heritage in Toledo. More than just the places that she saw, she made friendships with students from across the country and experienced firsthand the history, culture, and cuisine of the region.
Experiential education exceeds any other form of education. As I told my daughter, when I looked at pictures of her on the trip, she looked radiant, and it wasn’t something physical, it was the self-confidence she projected in her smile and in her eyes, from having the opportunity to be independent, to grow, and to experience the world for herself.
I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in giving their children a life-changing experience that will expose them to all the beauty to be shared across cultures and throughout the globe.”
