Once the weekend home of Lord Beaverbrook, this Surrey estate regularly hosted politicians, writers, and other notable guests looking to escape London for the countryside.

Today, Beaverbrook still feels like a true escape. Set on 470 acres in the Surrey Hills, it’s hard to believe you’re just 35 minutes from Heathrow and about an hour from central London.

A few reasons it stands out:
• A wide range of activities including falconry, archery, axe throwing, tennis, padel, biking, and more
• A spa with indoor and outdoor pools, thermal facilities, and treatments worth carving out time for

And I haven’t even packed yet…

I’ll soon be heading out for 17 days across Europe: from a countryside estate in Surrey, to sailing through the Mediterranean (with a stop for F1 in Monaco), to checking in on the latest updates at some of Italy’s most iconic hotels, including the newly refreshed Belmond properties in Portofino and Florence. From there, it’s on to alpine stays in the Dolomites.

Hear me out… Nashville is actually a great 48-hour getaway for the 30/40-something traveler.

Beyond the Broadway crowds, there’s a surprisingly good boutique hotel scene, incredible live music, cocktail bars that rival bigger cities, and some genuinely great food.

I based this itinerary around The Chloe Nashville: the perfect home base for a more elevated Nashville weekend.

Think bourbon tastings, intimate music venues, Southern comfort food, and nights that still feel fun without needing to stay out until 2AM.

Plot twist: my favorite part of Nashville might actually be The Chloe Nashville.

19 rooms, an old recording studio where legends like Bob Dylan and George Jones once recorded, a coffee bar for slow mornings, countless spaces to work or unwind, and a pool scene that somehow feels both social and relaxed.

It has that rare “sense of place” boutique hotels try to create but few actually pull off. Safe to say I get the hype now.
