School breaks 🤝 PTO days = more time to travel ✈️💗

Now that school is back in session, pull out that school calendar AND your work calendar 👀 A strategically placed PTO day can turn a regular weekend into a 4-day getaway — aka plenty of time for a quick Disney or Universal trip, a cruise, or somewhere totally new.

And those bigger breaks? Start planning them NOW. 🎄🌸☀️

The Disney Dining Plan can be SO convenient… but I definitely think you need to go into it with a little bit of a plan! 🍿🏰✨

A few things I personally keep in mind:

🍽️ Doing lots of character or sit-down meals? Look at the Dining Plan with table-service credits — and plan those reservations ahead!

🍦 I try to save my snack credits for items around $6+ instead of using them on cheaper drinks or snacks.

📱Keep an eye on your remaining credits throughout your trip. You don’t want to get to checkout day with a bunch left to use!

✨ For quick-service meals + snacks, don’t over-plan it. Have a general idea of how many credits you want to use each day, but use the app to see what’s nearby and decide what sounds good in the moment.

For me, the Dining Plan isn’t about squeezing every possible dollar out of it. It’s about having most of our food paid for before we arrive and making vacation spending a little easier.

A Standard room can definitely save you money at a Disney Value Resort… but room location matters more than you think.

Our room at All-Star Music was about .35 miles from the main dining area, and after a long park day, we definitely felt that walk 😂

Next time, I’d spend a little extra and book Preferred.
