Meet Me Monday!!

Let’s meet Rachel Saunders Saar - That Travel Girl

A Mom of four who has always loved to plan fun family adventures for herself and others. She’s still trying to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up, but so far being a Travel Planner and Diverse Children’s Author has topped the cake!

Rachel loves helping others make their travel dreams come true. Whether it’s planning the perfect all-inclusive getaway, the surprise Disney birthday trip, or the bucket list African Safari, she’s ready to handle all of the details.

Rachel truly believes the most important gift we can give is moments and memories. She likes to qualify her clients so that she can make sure their vacation meets their needs and their budget. No two clients are the same; every adventure deserves the utmost attention to detail.

Some of the amazing places she’s enjoyed include;
🏔️ Favorite U.S. destination: Hawaii
🌍 Favorite international adventure: Africa with African Travel Inc
✈️ Close second: a several-week trip to Germany, Amsterdam, Belgium, France, and Italy with her husband and kids.

📝Bucket List destination: Since she made it to Africa recently, it’s now a tie between Egypt, the Galapagos, Scotland/Ireland, Brazil, Peru, Australia, and New Zealand! The list goes on and on! But she MUST go back to Africa! 🙂

She has also visited Japan, Canada, England, Jamaica, Turks & Caicos, Mexico, the Bahamas, Antigua, the Grand Cayman Islands, and Haiti, to name a few! She has traveled over a lot of the US, so she’s ready to share her knowledge of all these lovely places with you.

✨ MEET ME MONDAY: Meet Stacy Carey! ✨

Say hello to the travel-loving mastermind who turns “someday” trips into real-life itineraries—Stacy Carey! 💗✈️

It’s another Meet Me Monday, where we pull back the curtain and introduce you to the incredible people behind Insider Travel Planners—and this week, we’re spotlighting Stacy!

Stacy was born and raised in West Virginia and now calls Barboursville home. She has four kids, has been with Richie for about 11 years, and somehow along the way became a household of SIX cats! 🐱😂

By day, Stacy has been a judicial law clerk since 2009, but her history in the travel industry actually goes back even further than you might think.

She first worked as a travel agent in the early 2000s before attending law school, and in November 2018, she found her way back to the travel industry. Nearly eight years later, she’s still doing what comes naturally to her: researching, planning and figuring out how to make all the pieces fit together.

And Stacy REALLY likes a trip with a lot of pieces. 😂

🌎 Her specialty? International travel, especially Europe, customized multi-city vacations, complicated itineraries, cruises and groups.

Give Stacy the client who says, “We want to visit these five places, take a train here, fly there, add a cruise in the middle, and we have absolutely no idea how to make it work.”

That’s her kind of trip. 🙌

She genuinely enjoys taking all those moving pieces and turning them into one seamless vacation.

It probably helps that Stacy is a self-proclaimed research nerd. 🔎 She can lose hours going down a rabbit hole researching everything from a destination to the latest sensationalized crime story to the origins of life and just about any other random subject that catches her attention.

When it comes to her own travels, one destination stands above the rest:

🦒 KENYA. Hands down.

Her safari experience and stay at Giraffe Manor will be VERY hard to top.

As for what’s next on the bucket list? Technically, Stacy would like to see pretty much the entire planet. 🌍😂

But if she has to choose…

🏝️ An overwater bungalow in the Maldives is sitting pretty high on that list!

For Stacy, though, travel is about so much more than simply going on vacation.

She loves experiencing somewhere completely different, learning how other people live, eating the food, understanding the history and coming home with a perspective she didn’t have when she left.

And that probably explains her travel philosophy better than anything else:

❤️ TAKE. THE. TRIP. ❤️

Stacy doesn’t want to spend her life saying, “Someday.”

And whether your “someday” is a European adventure with 14 moving parts, an African safari, a cruise, a big group getaway or somewhere completely off the beaten path, Stacy might just be the person who can figure out how to make it happen.

✨ MEET ME MONDAY: Meet Tabitha Wedemeyer! ✨

Last week, I kicked off our brand-new Meet Me Monday series by introducing you to my family and sharing a little about the people and the “why” behind Insider Travel Planners.

Now it’s time to meet the people who make this agency what it is. 💗

And I couldn’t think of a better way to officially begin our agent spotlights than with…

💕 TABITHA WEDEMEYER! 💕

Tabitha is a mom of four, a coach’s wife, a dance teacher and a travel advisor who turned something she had been doing for years into a career she loves.

For 22 years, Tabitha has been a stay-at-home mom, pouring her time into her family while also teaching dance on the side. And throughout those years, another passion kept popping up…

TRAVEL. ✈️

Tabitha was always the one planning her family’s trips and helping other people figure out theirs. In 2022, she decided to take something she already loved doing and officially became a travel advisor.

And what does she love most about it?

❤️ Helping other families find the perfect vacation and make memories together.

As a mom herself, Tabitha understands that a vacation isn’t just about where you go. It’s about finding the right experience for the people you’re traveling with and creating memories they’ll still be talking about years later.

Her own travels have already taken her to some pretty incredible places!

INTRODUCING: MEET ME MONDAY ✨

Meet the family behind Insider Travel Planners!

We spend a lot of time around here talking about vacations, destinations, resorts and cruise ships… but we thought it was time you got to know the PEOPLE behind Insider Travel Planners. 💜✈️

So we’re starting something new!

Every Monday, we’re going to introduce you to one of the amazing travel advisors who makes up our agency.

And since someone has to go first… I figured it should be me!

Hi! I’m Natalie, owner of Insider Travel Planners and these are my people:

Emily - a student at WVU pursuing her BSN-RN

Dillon - a corporal in the USMC

Ryan - co-owner of Insider Travel Planners and by day you might see him riding the rails with CSX

Ella - a high school student who loves volleyball and softball

This photo was taken together in Hawaii, and I think it’s pretty fitting. Travel has been woven into so many chapters of our family’s story over the years.

Behind the bookings, late-night emails, trainings, resort tours, cruises, flights and endless research is this crew.

They’ve traveled with me. They’ve listened to me talk about travel way too much. 😂 They’ve been part of the adventures, the crazy schedules and the growth of this business.

And ultimately, they ARE MY WHY!

When I started in the travel industry 16 years ago, I couldn’t have imagined what it would eventually become. I don’t think anyone really did if we are being completely honest.

Ten years ago, I took the leap and became an agency owner. Since then, Insider Travel Planners has grown into a team of incredible travel advisors who have been blessed to help families experience destinations all over the world.

This is more than a business to me. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to build an incredible team of travel advisors, help thousands of families plan vacations, travel to some pretty amazing places, and make more memories with my own family than I could ever count.

Ultimate after many years of planning vacations, I have came to realize.. travel isn’t always about where you are going.. travel isn’t the hotel room or the plane ticket…

It’s the family stories that start with, “Remember when we…?”

It’s watching your kids experience someplace new.

It’s celebrating milestones together.

It’s who you’re standing beside when you get there…

And it’s realizing that some of the best things you bring home from a vacation don’t fit in a suitcase. ❤️

Over the next several Mondays, you’re going to meet the people behind Insider Travel Planners. You’ll learn a little about their lives, their favorite places, why they became travel advisors, what they love to plan, and probably a few fun things you never knew about them.
