In 2025, events generated $211.4 million in total economic impact—a 16.7% increase year over year.

Wait… did Spain really choose Chattanooga as their 2026 FIFA World Cup basecamp? 🇪🇸⚽️

Yep. Still feels a little surreal to say out loud.

We’re proud to be selected as Spain’s 2026 FIFA World Cup basecamp — and even more excited to show the world what makes this place special.

Mountains. River. Soccer history in the making. Not a bad combo.

The Chattanooga Host City Authority is gearing up for Spain’s National Football Team to arrive in the Scenic City, and we're hosting a community training session this summer at the Baylor School Soccer Complex!

Admission to the event is free, but attendance is limited. Tickets will be distributed through a random drawing — fans have until 5 p.m. on June 1 to put their name in the running. Learn more at: cha.city/spain-training

Greater Chattanooga Hospitality Association STARS of the Industry Award nominations are now open through June 5. This is your chance to recognize the team members, colleagues, and companies who go above and beyond every single day—the ones who make our community proud and our visitors feel welcome.

Local award recipients will be nominated for statewide recognition at the Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association Stars of the Industry Awards during the Governor's Conference on Sept. 17 in Gatlinburg. We have so much to be thankful for in this industry. Let's celebrate each other!

The Chattanoogan Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton is celebrating 25 years of hospitality excellence! Our partners are marking this incredible milestone with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on Thursday, May 14 from 3-7 p.m., featuring live music, specialty drinks and signature dishes.
