We were honored to host the Molloy family for a custom fall foliage tour while they were in Colorado for The Matt Molloy Invitational, created in honor of Matt, who passed away in May far too soon.

What an incredible family—authentic, warm, courageous, and full of humor. There were plenty of laughs, beautiful fall colors, and stories of a man who clearly left a lasting impact on so many.

The Invitational carries Matt’s legacy forward, with proceeds benefiting A Friend of Jack Rescue, a cause close to his heart. 🐾❤️

Thank you, Molloy family, for letting Explorer Tours be a small part of such a meaningful weekend. We loved spending the day with you.

Some lives leave an imprint that never fades. Matt’s clearly did. ❤️

🍁🦌 GOLDEN ASPENS + BUGLING ELK = FALL IN COLORADO! 🏔️

One of our favorite times of year has arrived in Rocky Mountain National Park!

The aspens are turning brilliant shades of gold, the mountain air is crisp, and elk rut season is underway—when massive bull elk gather their harems and their unmistakable bugles echo through the valleys. 🦌🎺

It’s an incredible time to experience Colorado, and we’ll do the driving so you can enjoy the show.

🇺🇸 HAPPY LABOR DAY! 🏔️

Labor Day is all about celebrating hardworking people… so naturally, we spent the weekend showing off some of the hardest-working vacationers in Colorado. 😂

We were proud to host several groups who decided their long weekend was best spent exploring, relaxing, and letting someone else do the driving! 🚐🍂

And a HUGE shoutout to our Explorer Tours guides, who worked the holiday weekend so our guests could kick back, take photos, spot wildlife, and See Colorado Come to Life! ❤️

👀 WAIT… WAS THAT JACK NICHOLSON?! 🪓😳

Our Explorer Tours guests stopped by the legendary Stanley Hotel in Estes Park—and apparently got a very special visit from Jack Torrance himself. 👻

You know… the caretaker from The Shining.

We can’t promise you’ll actually run into Jack at the Stanley… but we can promise a little fun, fascinating history, and maybe a few stories that will make you look twice at those empty hallways. 😉

📸 Our guests had a little help recreating this unforgettable “sighting” with AI. Because sometimes the best tour memories need a little Hollywood magic!

🎓🏔️ A Colorado Adventure to Remember! 🏔️🎓

We recently had the pleasure of hosting students and chaperones from Fairfield Community High School in Fairfield, Illinois, during their trip to Denver for an academic competition.

Our guide, Robert, loved showing the group some of Colorado's most iconic destinations, including the towering summit of Pikes Peak and the stunning red rock formations of Garden of the Gods. With fresh snow still covering the mountain peaks, the scenery was nothing short of spectacular and gave our visitors a true Colorado welcome.

Throughout the day, the students experienced Colorado's history, geology, wildlife, and incredible mountain landscapes while creating memories with classmates and teachers.

And because every great adventure deserves a sweet ending, we wrapped up the day with a stop at the Colorado Custard Company in Manitou Springs for ice cream and plenty of smiles.

Thank you to Tammy Austin and Fairfield Community High School for spending the day with us. We enjoyed sharing the beauty of Colorado with such a wonderful group and wish everyone continued success in their academic pursuits.

🎓🏔️ A Graduation Celebration to Remember

One of the greatest privileges we have at Explorer Tours is being part of our guests' special moments.

Recently, Emily Romero and her family joined Eric for a private tour of Rocky Mountain National Park to celebrate their daughter's college graduation. What a wonderful way to mark such an important milestone—surrounded by family, spectacular mountain scenery, wildlife, and the beauty of Colorado.

From scenic overlooks and alpine lakes to unforgettable family photos, the day was filled with laughter, memories, and plenty of opportunities to soak in the magic of the Rockies. Eric loved sharing the park with such a fun and appreciative family.

Congratulations to Emily's daughter on this incredible achievement! We were honored to be a small part of your celebration and hope the memories from your Colorado adventure last for years to come.

🎉 Welcome to Explorer Tours, Alexis Miller! 🎉

We're thrilled to introduce the newest member of our guide team, Alexis Miller.

Alexis has called Colorado home for the past 10 years and brings a passion for the outdoors that is contagious. She has summited 9 of Colorado's famous 14ers and has worked in numerous outdoor education settings, helping people of all ages connect with nature, learn new skills, and build confidence in the outdoors.

A devoted dog lover and owner herself, Alexis understands that some of life's best moments happen outside—whether it's on a mountain trail, beside an alpine lake, or simply sharing a beautiful view with others.

One of the things we love most about Alexis is her belief that exploring is more meaningful when it's shared. She enjoys helping guests discover Colorado's incredible landscapes, wildlife, history, and hidden gems while creating memories that last long after the tour is over.
