We have partnered with a local coffee grower, who has a family-run coffee company just outside of Antigua. Timoteo shows us the start-to-finish process of his farm, including sampling of the product at the end!

This and many other cultural activities are a part of our Guatemala base program, including shadowing with a local public elementary school.

MEET US MONDAY: Introducing Lisa Edwards, Spanish4Educators ambassador extraordinaire.

After participating in cohort #8 with us in 2023, she gathered a group of 6 of her colleagues to return again the next year! In addition, she was able to solicit funding from two different local foundations in order to make the experience affordable for her and her colleagues.

Heading into our summer 2027 program, Lisa has agreed to join us as a facilitator this upcoming summer with cohort #12!

Meet Blanca, our Guatemala Logistics Coordinator, and Luis, our Transportation Director. Blanca and Luis have been with Spanish4Educators for many years, helping to create the most authentically Guatemalan experience for our participants.

In addition to facilitating activities, coordinating our family stays, and ensuring our cohort members arrive safely to our various activities, they are proud to share the many ways that they are proud to be Guatemalans (Chapinas).

We are honored to partner with Blanca and Luis, and hope you can have the opportunity to meet them next summer!

The dates for cohort #12 are here!

Please join a group of like-minded educators from July 11-25 in Antigua, Guatemala with Spanish4Educators. You will stay with a local Guatemalan family, receive private Spanish classes, and participate in a variety of cultural activities including getting to know a real Guatemala public school classroom!

Registration starts on Monday - we hope to see you in Guatemala this summer!

Reflecting on cohort #11 today as most educators are heading back to school.

What a great cohort! Seventeen people in the cohort and incredibly we had eight KIDS in this cohort! So grateful for the young people and their parents who have been able to check off Guatemala off of their bucket list with Spanish4Educators.

Registration opens for Cohort #12 in ONE WEEK, and we offer a $150 early bird discount for all educators who register by December 31, 2026.
