Thank you to all of our summer and fall guests that took a moment to visit with us! Every guest that visits helps to keep this kennel afloat and in operation. As the prices continue to rise on everything from a dog collar to dog food, I have not raised our tour pricing as I still see it as being fair.
It is one of my goals to share this experience of coming to an Alaskan homestead, witnessing how these animals are cared and trained, to be family friendly and not price folks out of the experience itself. That being said, please continue to share the pictures, videos and reviews of your visits with us to others. I feel that keeping the spirit of traditional freight sleddogs alive is not something very popular though necessary. ❤️

This picture says A LOT to me. It may not to you, but let me explain. This is the first time that these two pups have been placed in a kennel and this is the first hour. (Its a bit muddy outside so I decided to start kennel training.)
During this first hour we have had some protest but for what it is, this is fantastic behavior. Do you see them sitting patently? They are just 2.5months old... *The black male is no longer available, his temperament is so fantastic that he will stay.

"Do your dogs get cold in the winter?" The answer is no. They get hot in the summer ☀️ check out Lady's cave. She does a little housekeeping everyday, rearranging the "furniture" to stay comfortable! That rake is over 3ft long and went halfway. I encourage them to go underground. We have discontinuous permafrost below and the dogs stay cooler down there!

Sharing a little bit of the homestead lifestyle! Today was filled with picking porcupine quills out of a pups nose, raspberries, fireweed leaves for fireweed tea, and continuing with our resin 4 leaf clovers 🍀 beautiful evening before the rain storm we are expecting!
