Barbara took a Denali Summit Flight back in July and shared this short clip with us. WOW, just WOW. No matter how many times we see this view it takes our breath away. As one pilot says -- he doesn't need to narrate, the mountain speaks for itself.

UPDATE: DOT posted they think they will get it open by Wednesday!!

Traveling in Alaskas Arctic is always an adventure. We are monitoring the situation and will be working with our operations and any guests this affects. Note: the DOT crews up here are amazing. As soon as they can, they will get in there and fix this. Once they can it will take no time at all to get moving again. If you are on the Arctic Ocean Adventure in the next week (June 15 to June 22) call our office to insure we have your current contact information for any updates. Tours are going, we just may, or may not, have an alternate itinerary.

Race information!!!

Hey , the Iditarod is happening in Fairbanks on Monday, March 3rd @ 11am on the river outside of Pikes Waterfront Lodge.

PARKING IS NOT AVAILABLE AT THE START🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾 🐾

But don't worry, we've got you covered. We're partnering with Explore Fairbanks to offer shuttles between 8am and 2pm from the Carlson Center to Pikes. We'll have coffee and a warm place to hang out as you wait for shuttles. Each roundtrip shuttle will take about 45 minutes.

For those looking to take in the Iditarod here is some updated information on watching it. IMPORTANT to note there will not be any parking for spectators at the start -- you can take a bus shuttle or there are other places to watch the race AFTER the starting line.

Welcome Iditarod 2025 to Fairbanks! Race details: The race will start at 11 a.m. Monday, March 3, from Pike’s Waterfront Lodge with mushers leaving in two minute intervals.
