I’ve been on cruise fever lately, but I’ve been looking into A LOT more all-inclusives for the holidays lately! 🌴✨

If you're thinking about booking an all-inclusive resort soon, here are 3 common mistakes I see people make all the time (and how to avoid them):

1️⃣ Assuming "All-Inclusive" Means Everything Is Included: Not all resorts are created equal! Some charge extra for premium dining, top-shelf liquor, or airport transfers. Knowing what’s covered before you even arrive prevents unexpected room charges at checkout.

2️⃣ Choosing the Resort Based Only on Photos: A resort might look stunning, but if your vision is for a quiet, adults-only getaway and accidentally book a family-focused party resort, your vibe will be completely off. Matching the resort atmosphere to your specific trip goals is key!

3️⃣ Overlooking Room Location and Resort Layout: "Oceanfront" and "Ocean View" are not the same thing, and huge mega-resorts can mean a 15-minute walk just to get from your room to the beach! If you have mobility preferences or want to be steps from the pool, picking the right building block makes or breaks your stay.

Saving money by flying into a secondary airport and taking additional transportation to the port can be a huge win for your budget. But remember—it adds extra travel legs! If you prefer a simple "land and board" experience, factor (and spend that little extra 💵) for direct logistics from day one.

2️⃣ A Bigger Ship Doesn't Mean Bigger Accommodations🛋️

In fact, in most cases, it’s the exact opposite! Mega-ships pack in endless attractions, which often means standard staterooms end up smaller to get more people cruising. 😂 Apparently, I keep forgetting to celebrate another Travel Advisor accomplishment! ✈️🌎

I take these certifications and trainings over time, proudly complete them, and then… stick them in a folder and move on to the next thing. 🤦‍♀️😂 So here I am, finally giving myself a little credit!

One of the things I’m most passionate about as a TA is continuing to learn, grow, and expand my knowledge so I can be the best possible resource for my clients. Whether it’s discovering new destinations, learning more about resorts, understanding unique travel experiences, or staying up to date on all the details that make a trip extra special, I’m always working behind the scenes to learn more. 🤗

Because your adventures deserve more than someone who can just book a trip. They deserve someone who is invested in KNOWING how to make the most of every experience! 🥂🌴
