Headed back home & back to reality today after 8 amazing days celebrating our 13th anniversary in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, MX! 🇲🇽
While I certainly travel for leisure & personal enjoyment/experience, I also take my travels seriously, as an agent it helps me to help you in planning your next vacation. Figuring out all the do’s & don’ts, the pros & cons, so you don’t necessarily have to!
We stayed at the Playa Grande Resort in Spa in Cabo San Lucas, which was absolutely stunning. We did not stay all-inclusive, however this resort does offer that option if you choose. The grounds were gorgeous & well manicured, beautiful multiple pools, and all their rooms are suites, so very spacious! We stayed in a partial ocean view suite & our view was wonderful! The staff & service were top notch, and food & drinks were amazing. I do not have one complaint about our experience at this resort. The location was perfect, as it was located across the street & within walking distance to part of the marina, where there was shopping as well as restaurants for dining & enjoying a cocktail. There were other restaurants as well as shopping very near by, just a short cab ride away!
While we were staying at Playa Grande, my husband & the staff surprised me with our room decorated plus a bottle of wine on our anniversary. It was beautiful & such a special detail to celebrating our anniversary. ♥️
For our anniversary dinner, we chose to dine at Harry’s Steakhouse. This wasn't just a pretty restaurant with fabulous views, but the swankiest restaurant we've ever been. Without a doubt our favorite place to ever dine for dinner. The atmosphere, the attention to every detail, THE SERVICE, the food blew us away! They wait on you hand & foot, cater to your every request, and they even have a moblie bartender come to your table to fix your cocktail.
Since it was our anniversary, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert as well as champagne, and at the end of the night every table gets their signature cotton candy to the table. They even had a photographer come to the table, take our pic & at the end of the night put it in a little envelope for keepsake.
This is a big reason why we rarely stay all-inclusive anywhere anymore. Give us the taste & experience of someplace local & unique to the destination. I 1000% recommend this restaurant when visiting Cabo! Bring your pocket book but know it's worth every penny!
While in Cabo, we decided to take an excursion to see the see the famous Arches with snorkeling also included, and it was incredible! I booked our trip with Baja Snorkel, and Luis & Alex who led our excursion did a fabulous job! 5 star experience for sure!
Our second excursion was deep sea fishing, and it was hands down the most memorable & amazing experience thanks to BlueSea Sportfishing, and our guide Caesar! We caught not 1 but 2 fish that day! My catch was a beautiful Mahi, & then my husband’s dream was to catch a Marlin, and boy did he ever!! 🤩
I had a 4ft Mahi weighing approx 40lbs, & husband had an 8ft Marlin weighing at about 160lbs! We opted to give the fish to the captain & locals after all was over, so they did not simply go to waste. 🫶🏻 I would absolutely recommend them if you are looking to book your own deep sea fishing excursion.
Cabo made our trip absolutely unforgettable and it is certainly hands down one of the best trips we’ve ever taken. One thing that makes Cabo so special is it’s natural mix of dessert with a tropical beauty twist. You are limited to only a few swimmable beaches, as the undertow around the baja is strong, but that did not hinder our experience or have any negative impact on our stay. The hospitality was wonderful, the weather was perfect, and it exceeded all expectations. We absolutely love Cabo, and I can’t wait to return!
