On behalf of all of us at Meggaxp, THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported us on Saturday!

We had to catch a flight first thing on Sunday morning (be at the airport at 5:30 AM) - - - - and we're just now catching up, but wanted to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to support the return of our "regular show" on the 23rd!!!

Thank you to the Commonwealth Commerce Center for hosting us again! The fine folks at that organization (both new and veteran) have always been fantastic and have taken a lot of chances on us throughout the years! From the new owner, to the office ladies, to the fine men who busted their butts getting all of the tables and chairs in place for our event - THANK YOU SO MUCH!

To the Atrium Cafe, Abby and the whole crew - thank you for once again serving up food FAR GREATER THAN ANY OTHER CON WE'VE BEEN TOO - you guys killed it, and that Turkey Pretzel always has been one of THE BEST things to eat in this city!

Thank you to A-Team Homes-Home 1st Real Estate for not only coming out and setting up at the show, but also for being our cosplay contest sponsor! If you haven't followed and liked this page yet, people, what are you waiting for??? They're diehard supports and all geeks need a place to live - so why not buy a house through your fellow geeks???

Thank you to our volunteers - who once again showed their undying support and graciously donated their time to make everything run incredibly smooth - from the front door people to the gents helping run video game tournaments, to the lovely ladies helping out in the kid's con room, and of COURSE our main men down in the auditorium - behind the PC and on the mic - - - and everyone in between - you guys and gals are what MAKES this show run, and we can't thank you enough!

Thank you all of the people who donated their time to make the tabletop room happen! Our DMs, our board game developers, and the companies who just came out to help spread the geek gospel, both figuratively and in some cases literally! A special thanks goes out to Elizabeth, who helped pull together ALL of the RPG sessions, and honestly is one of the main people who inspired us to bring this show back in general!!!

Thank you to ALL of our vendors who came out to sell at the show! THERE IS NO SHOW WITHOUT YOU GUYS, and we can not thank you enough for rolling the dice on the "reboot" if you will! We hope you all did well! James will be reaching out to each and every one of you individually to get your thoughts, but we are on vacation for a couple of weeks - so give him time!

Finally, thank you to EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT TO PLAY GAMES AND HAVE A GOOD TIME! We aren't the biggest con, we don't have the biggest budget, and we know that our approach is a bit different than most conventions, and at the end of the day - we don't care! We don't like to be compared to any other convention because we only have ONE thing on our mind - - - - try to provide a unique opportunity for the people of our fine city to have a great time, buy some great stuff, and get their geek on at a price that is beyond affordable we feel! Not only for the patrons, but our vendors too! We love gaming, we love art, we love entertainment, but most of all, we love being geeks! That is why we try so hard to provide an EXPERIENCE unlike anything else, at prices that anyone and everyone can afford.

We hope you enjoyed yourselves, and we want you to tell us - - - should we bring back MeggaXP for 2026????

Followers of Meggaxp you are in for a bonus treat this morning, as we are OFFICIALLY unveiling one of the answers for our "Untitled : Vintage Video Game Edition" here today! Well, more like one of the questions!!!

Every question will feature a video game, 2 from each system, ranging from the NES all the way to the PS3....along with a rhyming description of what is on the video game artwork.

For example, this one reads:
"A warrior roars while a flame-wielding queen, strikes a fierce pose in a mystical scene. With demons and spirits, the background ignites—a tale full of power and martial rites."

Do YOU know what game this is? If you do, you're one for one on this live action game show already!!!

Untitled : Video Game Edition will be happening in the Auditorium on the first floor THIS SATURDAY at 12:30 PM!!!

THIS SATURDAY AT Meggaxp HAVE WE GOT A TREAT FOR YOU!

Meggaxp is celebrating their ten year anniversary so, we got to thinking back on some of the things from 10 years ago (or, maybe a little longer).
We reflected on waking up on Saturday mornings and eating cereal and watching cartoons.
We thought about playing the GameCube and hanging out with Mario, his friends, and maybe some of our own.
We thought about the different pokemon generations, but ultimately decided that the originals can’t be beat. Charmander is my favorite.

Here is the board game scheduled events for MeggaXP X (10th Anniversary Edition)!! Keep in mind that the board game room (and by extension the RPG rooms) are on the 4th floor! Follow the signs to find a room FILLED with tables for tabletop events, including:

On top of that, we will have two companies setup and demoing their game ALL DAY - so you can learn a new game, play as many rounds as you like, and then buy the game and take it home with you! Those all-day sessions will be setup and run by:

Manic Mages Game - Who will be demoing Manic Mages!

Both of these companies will have their base setup where they love being most - in the tabletop room with tabletop players!

And if structure really isn't your thing, we've got good news - the folks at ThroatPunchGames is bringing an expansive board game library for you to come check out, literally - - - and sit down and either play a favorite of yours with new friends, or learn a new game entirely!

MeggaXP X (10th Anniversary Edition) is coming to the Commonwealth Commerce Center in downtown on Saturday, August 23rd, from 10am - 6pm (with a special bonus event happening at 6:30 PM for Star Wars fans) - - - BE THERE!

Alright, if you are a fan of roleplaying games (RPGS) we have some great news to share! Here is our event schedule for the organized RPG sessions that will run throughout the day at the con!

These sessions are first come, first signed up basis, so if you want to come and participate please see the RPG coordinator in the tabletop room, which is on the 4th floor.

At 11:00 AM there will be 3 different sessions kickingoff: Pathfinder (Legend of the Undead), Allies of Majesty, and The Dark Eye (Slavers of the Realmwood).

If you miss any of those three, at 11:30 AM you can partake in D&D 5E (The Wild Sheep Chase)

At 12:00 PM you get another crack at D&D 5E via the "Sunless Citadel."

At 2:00, Pathfinder, Allies of Majesty, and The Dark Eye run their second sessions.

Finally at 3:00 - "The Wild Sheep Chase" runs it's 2nd session.

Each session is 3 hours, and space is limited! Our advice is to buy your tickets IN ADVANCE so you can skip the line, come in right at 10am, do some shopping, and then head up to the game room!

Remember that these sessions are in private gaming rooms, so you can focus on the task at hand! You don't have to be experienced players to partake in any of these, either! Just show up a bit early and get signed up!!

If you miss out on these sessions, there's plenty of other tabletop action happening! More on that soon!!!

This is going to be the biggest day for gaming in Jackson since 2019, there's no doubt about it!
