✨ Walt Disney World Resort Spotlight: Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside ✨

After staying in one of the newly reimagined Royal Guest Rooms, this resort has become one of my favorite Moderate Resorts at Walt Disney World and I can’t wait to go back.

What makes this resort so special is the atmosphere. It’s peaceful, beautiful, and feels like a true escape from the busyness of the parks while still delivering that unmistakable Disney storytelling.

The updated Royal Guest Room was the highlight of our stay. It was the perfect backdrop for a girls weekend! The Princess and The Frog-inspired touches feel whimsical and elegant, and the rooms are bright, fresh, and beautifully updated.

We enjoyed dinner at Riverside Mill Food Court, listened to Yehaa Bob perform at River Roost Lounge, used Disney bus transportation throughout our trip (I’m a sucker for a Disney bus) and even took the short walk over to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter for beignets (a must-do!).

We loved the gorgeous theming, storytelling, and relaxing atmosphere.

This resort is quite large, which means more walking and multiple bus stops depending on where you’re staying. A Preferred Location may be beneficial here, while Riverside’s neighboring resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, has a smaller footprint.

For guests looking for a resort that feels relaxing, immersive, and uniquely Disney, Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is absolutely worth considering 🐸✨🎺

✨Disneyland Resort Hotel Spotlight: Pixar Place Hotel✨

We stayed at Pixar Place Hotel during our recent visit to Disneyland, and I can confidently say this hotel fills a very specific niche, and for the right family, it’s an excellent choice!

Here’s what we loved:

Pixar Place Hotel combines the convenience of staying on Disneyland Resort property with a more approachable price point than Disneyland Hotel or Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa.

The hotel celebrates Pixar in a way that feels modern and elevated rather than overly themed. We felt like we stepped into a Pixar movie in the best way. You’ll find thoughtful details and artwork throughout the property featuring beloved (and underrated) Pixar characters, while the overall atmosphere still feels comfortable for adults.

We loved the added convenience of the Sketch Pad Cafe for our morning coffee and Great Maple Modern American Eatery for breakfast on our check-out day.

Who I recommend Pixar Place for:
✨Families looking for a balance of convenience and value, who still want on-site Disney benefits

Who may consider a different option:
✨Guests prioritizing luxury amenities may prefer Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa
✨Families wanting the classic Disney nostalgia experience may lean toward Disneyland Hotel

Each Disneyland Resort hotel offers a different experience, and matching the right resort to your vacation style is one of the most important planning decisions you’ll make.

If you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation, save this tip 🏰

Staying at a Disney Resort Hotel grants you Early Theme Park Entry ✨ This means you and your family can enter the parks 30 minutes before they open

That 30 minute head start can save you 60 to 90 minutes later in the day by knocking out top tier rides before the park opens 🎠

Pro tip: arrive early & have a plan ⬇️

Arrive at least 30 minutes before Early Entry begins, people will be lining up and you don’t want to waste your head start getting into the park

Knowing which rides are open for Early Entry and where they are located is key to taking advantage of this extra time (you will be asked to scan a ticket that is linked to your hotel stay). Be prepared to see long lines, but rest assured this is because the queues inside are not fully open - they move quickly!
