The Best Bikes: Part of what makes a bike vacation great is the bike you’re riding. It’s why we provide, at no added cost, bikes that ride so exceptionally, guests want to buy them when the trip is done. Our award-winning carbon fiber Trek Domane with electronic shifting makes every hill a little easier, every shift a little smoother, and every ride that much more enjoyable. Our hybrid, mountain,

and electric-assist bicycles are built for the purpose of making your ride perfect. And we always include Garmin computers with turn-by-turn directions to keep you on track. We’re here to provide you with the best experience you could imagine. And that includes the bike. Exceptional Guides: They aren’t just experts in riding; they’re trained in delivering uncompromising service in ways you won’t believe. Our guests consistently rate our guides an average of 4.75 stars out of 5, and we have one of the most rigorous hiring process in the industry (even Inc. magazine wrote about it). We know that it’s the unexpected surprises that make a trip magical. That’s why our guides pride themselves on anticipating your needs before you ask. It’s their job to provide you with moments of “wow.”

Meet Your Guide: Rob Kennison

Born into a cycling family, I enjoyed many cycling holidays with my parents and brother, so in a way my life has turned full circle.

I’m an avid collector of Belgian beer glasses; my collection is now over 250 glasses! My favorite is Kwaremont; it features cobblestones on the base and a cyclist riding up the stem. Of course, to go with each glass I need the correct beer, that’s my excuse anyway.

I have a love/hate relationship with my Mazda Miata, but I have to confess that I do enjoy spending a few hours tinkering under her bonnet; it’s all worth the effort to enjoy a top-down drive to an English country pub on a sunny summer’s day.

I enjoy cooking and hope my Italian colleagues will approve of my take on a classic risotto.

My favorite trip is the Provence Bike Tour. It combines some beautiful routes, wonderful wines, and gourmet meals; its crown is of course, is getting to ride the iconic Mont Ventoux from Bedouin just like the Tour de France. My humble brag is that I have completed the Cinglés de Ventoux, that is, all 3 sides of the mountain in one ride. I hope that’s an inspiration to older guests who think age is a barrier to achieving their goals.

My most memorable trip moment was my first time on Mont Ventoux, I was taken aback by the emotions of a guest who had achieved a bucket list ride that he really didn’t think possible.

The view. The details. National Parks Edition.

250 years in, the best way to understand this country is still the same: at your own pace, immersed directly into the places that make you stop and look. Crater Lake's volcanic shores. The Blue Ridge Parkway at its highest point. The layered sandstone canyons of Bryce and Zion. These are routes where the landscape and details earn your attention mile by mile. 🏔️ ☀️🌊

Meet Your Guide: Yoan Kostov

👋 Hi, my name is Yoan, I’m 27 and from the oldest country in Europe - Bulgaria 🇧🇬. For the past 4 years, I’ve been guiding with Trek Travel all over Europe, sharing my love for cycling, mountains, and great experiences.
I started racing bikes as a kid, and that passion never really left. Today, I still ride with the same curiosity and energy, only now I get to share it with others on some of the most beautiful roads in Europe.

🚴🏻‍♂️ Cycling runs in my family - I’m a third-generation cyclist: my granddad coached my dad, and my dad coached me when I was a kid.

🏁 I once raced Tadej Pogačar as a junior, but only saw him at the start line.

🐶 I love dogs and once had 3 German Shepherds at home.

My favorite place to guide is the Slovenian and Italian Alps - a hidden gem of incredible climbs with amazing history, and of course, the beast of Monte Zoncolan!

My favorite trip memory is jumping into the Mediterranean Sea with the guests after finishing the Pyrenees coast-to-coast trip. 🌊

That's a wrap on Solvang. 🚴‍♀️

Another season of Ride Camp in California's Santa Ynez Valley is in the books — sunrise spins through vineyards, big climbs up Foxen Canyon, long lunches with new friends, and pro-level coaching from the best guides in the business.

New to Ride Camp? It's our annual gathering for cyclists who want to train hard, ride further, and level up, all on dialed-in Trek bikes.

Solvang 2027 dates are live. Our regulars book early for a reason.

Meet Your Guide: James Erlandson

I'm originally from Montana, but a career path led me to live all over the United States and Canada, and hobbies that enabled me to visit far-flung areas from Patagonia to Lapland and Oceania to the Western Cape. When I'm not guiding, I split my time between athletic coaching, lamenting about college tuition bills, and standing in my front yard shaking my fist at kids driving too fast in the neighborhood.

4 Truths and a Lie:

1. I was born with a rare genetic disorder, with one side effect being that I can only dream in black and white.

2. I've been a driver for presidential and vice-presidential motorcades.

3. Though American, I've trained as a sailor on a Canadian naval vessel.

4. Like Bruce Wayne or Clark Kent, for 20 years I led a double life as a corporate executive leading a $5 billion company by day and #1 internationally ranked video gamer by night. Neither of which knew about the other.

5. When I was 21, I broke my neck in a car accident and completed my senior year of college partially paralyzed.

My favorite place to guide is Fredericksburg, Texas.

My favorite trip memory? I've been lucky to experience Trek Travel both as a guide and as a guest multiple times. While having great memories on both sides of the equation, the stand-out memory was doing Utah as a family trip in 2019 - Zion and The Narrows is still something we talk about to this day.

Do you know which one is the lie?! Let us know in the comments!

Meet Your Guide: Mikey Reddin

Hi, I’m Mikey from Ireland, previously known for long hair, a mustache, and being mistaken for another guide (Max). I studied Earth & Ocean Science, so becoming a bike guide wasn’t exactly the plan, but it would have been if I’d known such a job existed.

🚣🏻 In a past life, I mapped the seabed using remotely operated boats

🎒 Last year, I did 6 bike-packing trips, including one from San Francisco to Cabo San Lucas

🍷 I love home-brewing, and my speciality is sparkling elderflower wine

My favorite region to guide is Norway. The fjords, mountains, and glaciers are a gift that keeps giving. Earth and ocean all in one place? Where else can you cycle up to an active ski station in the middle of June?

My favorite trip memory was convincing a couple of brave guests to swim in a glacial lake at the top of our biggest climb in Norway. I suggested it half jokingly–I didn’t expect anyone to take me up on it, and yes, it was absolutely freezing. Worth it just to say we did it.

Have you swam in a glacial lake with Mikey yet? Let us know in the comments!
