As the Downtown Neighborhood Association of Memphis, we are reminded in moments like this just how serious and sacred the role of law enforcement truly is.

We lift Officer Oscar Torres-Molina in prayer as he continues to fight and recover. He is alive, and that matters deeply — but this is still a critical and heavy moment. We are asking our community to join us in surrounding him and his family with strength, hope, and healing.

On behalf of our downtown residents, businesses, and stakeholders, we extend heartfelt gratitude to the entire Memphis Police Department. Your courage, professionalism, and daily commitment to protecting our city do not go unnoticed.
