Our First Look: Challenger 3500 in Assembly!

We’ve reached an exciting milestone in our Countdown to Challenger 3500 - the first of our three new aircraft is officially on the assembly line!

Bombardier just sent over our first set of photos from “The Green Line,” and I couldn’t wait to share them with you. This thrilling progress is a major moment in the journey - and the first time we’re seeing the aircraft that will soon be part of our fleet. I’ll share more updates as we move toward delivery; for now - enjoy this sneak peek.

Welcome to the team, Dave Hardin!!

Hardin joins the AB Jets team as our new Director of Safety and Compliance. In this role, he will oversee our Safety Management System (SMS), ensure regulatory compliance, and spearhead new initiatives to enhance safety and operational efficiency.

“Dave’s expertise in safety and compliance is a perfect fit for AB Jets,” said Andrew Bettis, Founder and President of AB Jets. “His deep knowledge of aviation safety and his proactive approach will help us uphold and enhance the standards our clients have come to trust.”

Hardin’s appointment aligns with AB Jets’ broader strategy, which includes adding three Challenger 3500 aircraft in 2025. His focus on rigorous safety protocols will be instrumental as AB Jets prepares for the exciting fleet expansion and continues its legacy of excellence. His values-based philosophy includes teamwork and just culture, which are integral for championing safety initiatives during this growth period.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dave to the team,” said Chief Pilot Justin Hagemeier. “His leadership is pivotal as we maintain our high safety standards and transition into an expanded fleet.”

As a dedicated Safety Professional, Hardin has designed, written, and implemented multiple Safety Management Systems for domestic and international operations and consulted for foreign governments, driving positive change at home and abroad. As a pilot, he started his career flying for the U.S. Army, then served in the oil and gas industry, flight instruction, air ambulance, tourism, and charter operations. His management experience includes working as a Chief Pilot, Director of Operations, COO, and Director of Safety.

David Turner, Co-owner and Director of Operations, adds, “This is an exciting time for AB Jets, and Dave's 40 years of industry experience align perfectly with our vision for the future.”

We're proud to announce the renewal of our Platinum rating with International, Inc.

The ARGUS Platinum Rating is a benchmark of the highest safety standards in aviation. Operators awarded this distinction undergo a rigorous in-house audit to evaluate their Safety Management System (SMS), policies, and procedures.

"Achieving the ARGUS Platinum Rating for the tenth consecutive year is a testament to the extraordinary efforts of our team," said Andrew Bettis, Founder and President of AB Jets. "As we continue to grow, this achievement emphasizes our focus on providing safe, exceptional service."

The renewal aligns with our planned fleet expansion in 2025. Currently consisting of nine Learjet 60s, the fleet will grow to include three Challenger 3500 aircraft in the coming year. This strategic investment reflects the team's dedication to establishing AB Jets as the best charter company in the country.

When it was time to choose a call sign, we wanted to recognize and reinforce our team's culture and values.

The complex and demanding aviation industry requires extensive training, skill, and experience. Our proven reliability and safety record are largely due to the perseverance of our expert aircraft mechanics. Flight crews must maintain a calm and focused determination to navigate adverse weather conditions, handle unexpected situations, and make split-second decisions.

Many of AB Jet's Directors and senior leadership have been on the team for more than a decade. We like what we're doing and the team we're doing it with. Despite facing industry changes and economic challenges, we persist. Our enthusiasm and commitment to achieving goals have led to continued success.

That's why we chose Fortitude when it was time to designate our Call Sign.
