Milwaukee's Juneteenth Celebration is one of the largest and longest-running in the nation, drawing more than 50,000 people every year, a true reflection of the heart and spirit of our city.

With a vibrant parade, over 300 local vendors and a daylong celebration, Milwaukee comes together to honor the legacy of emancipation and the future of Black excellence.

Calling all artists 🗣️ Framing Wisco is back and bigger than ever!

The team at Framing Wisco is seeking talented artists and designers with a passion for placemaking and visual storytelling to help shape a series of iconic, photo-worthy frames throughout Milwaukee.

If you have a track record of creating engaging, site-specific work that reflects local culture and community pride, we want to hear from you. Your canvas? A pre-built wooden frame (8 ft x 12 ft) that will become a lasting landmark for residents and visitors alike.

Don’t miss your opportunity to help frame the future of Milwaukee!

📆 Submissions are due June 27 at 8 p.m.
📝 Selected artists will receive a $250 honorarium to develop a full proposal
🗳️ Public voting begins on July 29
🎨 Final selections receive $7,500 in project funding and creative support
