Not ideal sea conditions today but, we made the best of it… a few gags and sea bass not to mention plenty of other bycatch, jacks were a no show, they were probably hiding deeper to escape the swell.

Bottom fishing today with gag groupers, trigger fish, sea bass, grunts, porgy, mackerels and much more including way too many sharks, I mean… way too many sharks and a few full grown red snappers which were properly released.

A big thank you to all my customers this week dealing with windy conditions on the water, we only made it offshore one day … the rest we were inshore/nearshore. Grouper, trigger fish, sea bass etc. bottom fishing and a few blues, Spanish mackerel and reds inshore, we spent several days tagging Spanish mackerel ($150 per tag) if you recapture them, be on the lookout… we got lucky and caught a double tagged gag grouper worth ($200 per tag) the payouts are real.
