🎣 White Crab Charters Fluke Report – Thursday, July 23, 2026 🎣

Today we had a few of our regulars aboard for a great day of summer fluke fishing. We welcomed Randy and Steve, Mike and Ray, along with Harris and his son, for another fun day on the water.

We headed straight for the grounds where we had been seeing the most life and got set up on our first piece. Harris wasted no time getting to work. Within the first 15 minutes of fishing, he already had his three-fish limit in the box! Mike was right behind him with a keeper, Ray added another, and by the end of our first drift we had five keepers in the cooler.

Along the way, there was steady action with plenty of shorts and some quality fish just shy of the 18-inch mark.

After making a move to our second drift, the action continued. Mike put a beautiful fluke over the 3-pound mark in the boat, and we added several more keepers. Harris capped off an outstanding day with the big fish of the trip, a beautiful fluke weighing around 7 pounds!

Randy finally broke the curse after a tougher trip last time and got her first keeper for the season . Steve also finished with two keepers of his own. Everyone caught fish, everyone had action, and most importantly, everyone had a great time on the water.

We wrapped up the day with 16 keeper fluke headed back to the dock. There were plenty more fish around than what made it into the cooler. We had lots of bites, fish coming unbuttoned halfway up, and several that just would not fully commit. There are definitely some big fluke mixed in—you just have to seal the deal when they bite and keep them on the hook!

Fishing has been pretty good overall, with constant action and fish going home in the box. Like any kind of fishing, some days are better than others—that is why they call it fishing, not catching.

At White Crab Charters, we work hard every trip to put our customers on fish and give everyone the best possible day on the water. Our goal is for you to catch some quality fish, enjoy yourself, and head home with great memories.

We have plenty of availability next week, so grab your Gulp and jigs, bring your friends and family, and come spend a day with us chasing some big flatfish!

📞 Call Kathy at 732-887-5731 to reserve your trip.

We appreciate everyone who came out today and look forward to seeing everybody on the water soon!

🎣 White Crab Charters Fishing Report – Friday, July 17 🎣

What a day on the water!

Today we had Gene and crew aboard for a fluke trip, and from the moment we dropped the lines until we called it a day, it was nonstop action. The quality of fish today was outstanding! While there were a few shorts mixed in, there wasn’t much recycling—we were into quality fluke all morning long.

Everyone on board caught keeper fluke, and everyone put some beautiful fish in the box. The bite was absolutely on fire, and by 9:00 AM we had already put together 8-man limit of 24 keeper fluke!

We kept fishing to enjoy the incredible bite and finished the trip with an impressive 42 keeper fluke before pulling the plug and heading back to the dock.

The fishing is heating up, and if today is any indication, it’s only going to get better! Now is the time to get out on the water and fill the cooler with some quality flatfish.

🎣 Bring your own Gulp and jigs.

🎣 White Crab Charters Fishing Report 🎣Wednesday, July 15, 2026
What a great day on the water with one of our regular crews!
We headed offshore Wednesday with Produce Jack, Sean, Jeff, Hunter, and Captain Jim for a fun day chasing fluke. We started in our first area but were met with a fast drift and less-than-ideal conditions. It was a little snotty out there with a washing-machine chop that definitely made us work for every bite.
Hunter put the first keeper of the day on the deck, and after that we picked away at some quality sea bass and a couple of ling while trying to put the pieces together. After seeing what was going on, we made a move to a different area—and it was game on!
The better fish started chewing, rods stayed bent, and the action really picked up. We had a couple of absolute heartbreakers come unbuttoned, including one that had the captain wondering what could have been, but that’s fishing! Everyone stayed with it, fished hard, and kept the pressure on all day.
By the end of the trip we boxed 12 beautiful keeper fluke, with the largest pushing right around the 5-pound mark, along with a limit of quality sea bass and a couple of nice ling to round out the catch. That’s what we like to call a mixed-bag Jersey day!
A huge thank you to Produce Jack, Sean, Jeff, and Hunter for another awesome day on the water. It’s always a pleasure fishing with a great crew that keeps the laughs coming and never gives up.
One bonus for the day—the bridge closings didn’t slow us down one bit. We slid right underneath and kept right on fishing!
🔥 The fluke bite is getting better and better, and the bigger fish are definitely starting to show. Now’s the time to get out there!

🎣 WHITE CRAB CHARTERS – THE FLUKE ARE CHEWING! 🎣
What a day yesterday!
We had one of our regular crews aboard for a four-man fluke charter, and after nearly six inches of rain the day before, nobody really knew what to expect. The weather reports were all over the place, so I dug into several different marine forecasts and weather models before making the call. Everything pointed toward the ocean laying down early, so we decided to send it.
Heading out Shark River Inlet, it was a little snotty with a swell rolling through, but once we got to our first drift, it was like somebody flipped a switch. The ocean cleaned right up, the drift was perfect, and the fish were waiting for us.
It didn’t take long before the first rods started bending. By around 8:00–8:30, we already had our first two keepers in the box, and from there it was game on.
The action was absolutely nonstop. We picked through well over 150 fluke throughout the day! Shorts after shorts kept everyone busy, and every drift had us wondering if the next bite was going to be “the one.”
Produce Jack went to work and made short work of his limit. Sean was sticking fish all day long, and Sal was putting a serious hurting on them too. It seemed like every time you looked around, somebody’s rod was doubled over.
Of course, fluke fishing always has a way of keeping you humble.
Hunter hooked into what looked like an absolute slob, but the fish buried his jig in the bottom and broke him off. That one definitely hurt. I had a beautiful keeper almost in the net when, about six feet below the surface, it gave one hard head shake and spit the hook. We also had another true doormat come unbuttoned right at the surface. Those are the ones that keep you awake at night!
Even with those heartbreakers, we put together a nice catch boxing 11 beautiful keeper fluke. Had just a few of those big girls stayed buttoned up, we easily would’ve finished with 13 or 14 keepers.
That’s fluke fishing—and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
A huge thank you to another great crew for spending the day with us. Days like this remind us why we love what we do. Great people, beautiful weather, bent rods, and coolers full of quality fish. It doesn’t get much better than that.
🎣 The fluke bite is improving, and now is the time to get on the water!

🇺🇸July 4th Fluke Report White Crab Charters🇺🇸

Today we had Pete and crew aboard for some Fourth of July fluking. The plan was simple—get out early, get on the fish, and get back before the holiday festivities. As every fisherman knows, though, sometimes things don’t always go according to plan!
The fish were there right from the start, and they were definitely interested. They were laying on the bait, rubbing it, nipping at it, and spitting it back out. It turned into a constant game of tag between the fluke and our baits. They just wouldn’t commit.
Then, right around 10:00–11:00 a.m., everything changed. The tide finally started moving, the water warmed up a bit, and the bite came alive. We started hooking multiple fish at a time, put some quality keepers in the box, and had plenty more nice fish that unfortunately spit the hooks before making it to the net along with many just short of the 18” mark. It was great to finally see the fluke turn on and start feeding.
By the end of the trip, Pete and crew finished with 10 beautiful keeper fluke along with a few sea bass to top things off.
A huge thank you to Pete and his crew for spending your Fourth of July with us. Hunter and I truly appreciate you choosing White Crab Charters, and we can’t wait to have you back aboard!
We still have July availability, and the fluking should only continue to improve from here.
To reserve your trip, give Kathy a call at (732) 887-5731.
We hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July, and we look forward to seeing you on the water soon!

🎣White Crab Charters. Today’s Trip 🎣

What a great day on the water with Phoenix and crew!

We started the morning targeting fluke, and the action got off to an incredible start. First stop, first drift, the fluke were snapping! Fish after fish came over the rail, with two keepers on the very first drift. We had plenty of bites, fish coming tight, and a few that managed to shake the hook before making it to the net.

After a couple of hours of steady fluking, the bite slowed down. Whether it was the tide change, or that cold southern current pushing in, things definitely cooled off. Rather than sit around waiting, we switched gears and headed out for some bottom fishing.

The move paid off! We finished the day with a couple keeper fluke around 35 ling, a few nice sea bass, and several blackfish, all of which were safely released to fight another day.

Phoenix and his crew were an awesome group to fish with, and everyone had a blast. We made it back to the dock around 1:00 PM, beat the afternoon heat, and sent everyone home with some fresh, delicious fillets.

We still have plenty of availability throughout July for both fluke fishing and bottom fishing. If you’re ready to get out on the water, catch some fish, make some memories, and fill the cooler, give us a call!
