For people with disabilities:
There will be an accessible seating area at St. Vincent’s Triangle, the location of the New York City AIDS Memorial. The area will include a tented area with accessible seating, space for wheelchairs and motorized scooters, ASL interpreters, and companion seating on the east side of the park area.

The entrance to this area is located at the northwest corner of the park, at Greenwich Ave and West 12th Street. These streets will only be accessible from the west. The nearest wheelchair-accessible subway is located at 14th Street on the A, C, E, and L lines; please check for any subway delays or closures.

Join Disability Unite and NYC Commission on Human Rights for a FREE celebration of community on Sunday July 12th! We're taking it to the next level with this year’s hybrid event, combining in-person festivities at Central Park Naumburg Bandshell in NYC and an exclusive online experience.

As we commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States and the 36th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, our 2026 Disability Unite Festival theme, “A More Accessible Union,” reflects on the ideals of freedom and equality and the foundation of access and inclusion that can unite us all. It honors the ongoing work of the disability community to build a more connected, welcoming, and equitable future, and celebrates disability pride through art and culture as a powerful expression of belonging, creativity, and community. It calls for recognition that disability rights are human rights, and that the promise of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness belongs to us all.

Captioning, Sign Language Interpretation and Audio Description Will Be Provided.

Disability Unite Festival’s motto is “For The Community, By The Community” and the creation of the festival comes from all of us. Based on Mutual Aid principles, together we participate, collaborate, are inclusive, creative, and connective.
