We offer a level of customer service that can’t be found elsewhere. We specialize in taking families, small kids and first timers deep sea fishing. We are professional in every way. l you catch, we can still catch them, take a picture and then release them. If the fish you catch are in season, you are welcome to harvest them. We are open year round with peak seasons running Memorial Day to Labor Day. We offer with two trips daily’s. Our charter boat is a 41 ft Hatteras Yacht that has a restroom, kitchen and an air conditioned cabin. We take up to 6 anglers per trip and we have new and well maintained fishing tackle.

The First Family Fishing Charter In Orange Beach, Alabama!

Distraction Charters is the FIRST offshore fishing charter in the United States to specialize in family fishing, marine education and to promote conservation. We encourage our guests to catch as many fish as they can. When it comes to harvesting, we encourage you to take only what you need, instead of what you can. This is because we want there to be enough fish for future generations to catch.

We are unlike any other deep sea fishing boat around Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama. Instead of being like other charters, we are very selective in the fish we take you to harvest. Just because the fish are of legal size, that doesn’t make them good to eat. Therefore, we guide you toward quality fish, instead of only large fish, when it comes to deciding which one you should harvest. We do catch some really large fish, but very few of them have the food quality that we desire for our own family. We look out for your best interest.

Our trips are laid back. The environment we put you in is calming. It is a place where you and your children can learn at your own pace without being intimidated or overwhelmed. If the fish you catch are in season, you are welcome to harvest the ones you catch.

We are open year round with peak seasons running from a week before Memorial Day to Labor Day. We offer two 6 hour trips each day, except Sunday’s. Our charter boat is a 41 ft Hatteras Yacht that has a clean, private restroom, kitchen and an air conditioned cabin. We take up to 6 anglers per trip and we have new and well maintained fishing tackle.
