Snack Sunday 🫖🌸✨
Sometimes Snack Sunday isn’t a snack. Sometimes it’s an entire experience.

Afternoon Tea at Disney’s Grand Floridian is one of my favorite ways to slow down at Disney. Tucked inside the newly reopened Garden View Lounge, the experience includes Twinings tea, an orange-cranberry scone, savory tea sandwiches, and a tower of beautiful desserts inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

🌸 Grand Floridian elegance with a little Disney whimsy
✨ Perfect for a resort day or non-park day

My favorite part isn’t even the food. It’s getting to sit down, relax, and enjoy Disney at a slower pace for an hour or two.

As a Type 1 diabetic, afternoon tea is actually one of those experiences that’s easier for me to manage than a giant dessert. A little scone here, a tea sandwich there, a bite of pastry later. Everything is portioned for enjoying, not overdoing.

Is it a splurge? Absolutely.

Will I keep booking it? Also absolutely.

Sometimes the most magical Disney meal doesn’t involve a ride reservation or a park ticket. Sometimes it’s just tea, pastries, and a Grand Floridian afternoon.

𝓔𝓷 𝓡𝓸𝓾𝓽𝓮 𝓽𝓸 𝓓𝓲𝓼𝓷𝓮𝔂 𝓒𝓻𝓾𝓲𝓼𝓮 𝓛𝓲𝓷𝓮! 🚢🐭✨
The J family is setting sail in March 2027. Party of five plus Grandma and Grandpa. First cruise for a family that already lives and breathes Disney. 2 connecting Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms with Verandahs! 🎉

This crew has done it all at Walt Disney World. Passholders, DVC members, repeat clients who know the parks inside and out. Cruising was the natural next step and I could not be more excited to be the one who gets to plan it.

Here is what we locked in:
🚢 Disney Dream, 4-Night Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale
🛏️ 2 staterooms, Grandma and Grandpa with their own space and the rest of the crew in a connecting stateroom
🏝️ Port stops at Nassau and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point
🎢 The AquaDuck waiting for them, always a first cruise favorite
🍽️ Rotational dining so a new theme finds them every night
👵👴 A true multigenerational trip, everyone together and everyone taken care of

DVC and passholder families know Disney better than almost anyone, and it is always special watching them experience the brand a whole new way for the first time.

Fun Fact Friday 🤔
The Haunted Mansion unit in the Boo to You Parade has layers most guests never notice.

⚰️ The gravediggers drag their shovels across the asphalt on purpose, creating real sparks timed to the beat of the music
🌧️ If it rains, Disney pulls the entire walking unit from the parade. No gravediggers, no ballroom dancers, no Constance. Wet pavement and metal shovels at night is a safety issue Disney will not risk
💃 Each ballroom dancer creates a backstory about how their character died during rehearsal and builds their entire choreography around it
👰 Constance Hatchaway appears to glide silently through the crowd with no float. She is actually on a small one-person float hidden completely under her skirt, lit from below in blue light. Her bouquet of red roses hides a flashlight that illuminates her face from underneath
🪓 She murdered five husbands with an axe. She glides through a crowd of thousands completely silent and most people have no idea who she is

You have been watching this parade wrong.
Go back and look for the sparks. 🖤

love summer… but I have an itch. 👀🎃

An itch for pumpkin spice, Halloween decorations, Mickey pumpkins on Main Street, Boo-To-You, fog-filled nights, haunted houses, scare zones, and spending every weekend pretending sleep isn’t important.

Summer was fun, but spooky season has entered the chat. 🎃👻🌫️

September at Walt Disney World might be the most underrated month on the entire calendar, and I will stand by that.

Crowds are down, weekdays are quiet, and the parks start to feel like a completely different place than they did in July. The heat begins to ease as the month goes on. Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is in full swing at Magic Kingdom. Food and Wine Festival is running at EPCOT. There is genuinely a lot to love about September if you know what you are walking into.

Early mornings, a smart midday break in the early part of the month, and evenings that keep getting better as the temperatures drop. September rewards the guests who show up with a plan.

Just Checking 👀 Swipe Through Before You Book Your Next Trip

I’m not building you the trip I’d take. I’m a local, I’m a teacher, and I genuinely care about getting your family’s trip right ❤️, which means no two itineraries I build look the same, because no two families need the same thing.

That’s the actual difference. The ham store, AI, and booking direct can all sell you tickets 🎟️. None of them know your kids, your pace, or what changed in the parks since that post or that group thread was written.

Do as much research as you want, I actually love that you do 🔍. Just know that when it’s comes to booking with me, you’re not the one who isn’t spending three hours on hold ⏳ or digging through a Facebook group from 2019 to get you an answer.

Snack Sunday 🧀✨
Sometimes bigger really is better.

The Giant Mozzarella Stick from Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs is exactly what it sounds like: a massive mozzarella stick coated in seasoned panko breadcrumbs, fried until golden brown, and served with marinara.

🧀 The cheese pull is the main event
✨ Crispy, golden, and perfectly fried
🍅 Marinara for dipping
🤝 Absolutely made for sharing

As a Type 1 diabetic, this is actually one I’d be more likely to split than tackle solo (like most of my snacks). Between the breading and the cheese, it’s one of those sneaky snacks that can cause the delayed blood sugar spike we all know and love. 😅

But if you’re going to indulge, this is a pretty great way to do it. And the walking balances it out, right?! 🤣

The best part? It feels like one of those classic theme park snacks that doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s just a giant mozzarella stick. And somehow that’s enough.

The S family is back. Thanksgiving break. November 2026. And this trip is all about balance. 🦃

These two are more than clients, they are fellow teachers and friends I have known for years. Last time they visited, hubby handled all the planning. This time he gets to just be there.

Here is what we locked in:
🏨 Port Orleans French Quarter, small and easy to navigate, no long walks between the room and the pool
🐊 S**t Cat’s Club Pool with the Mardi Gras dragon slide for some downtime
🍩 Beignets and coffee at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory
🎫 4-Day Hopper Tickets so they can move through the parks their way
🍽️ Disney Dining Plan, meals handled so no one has to think about it
🎢 Park strategy and Lightning Lanes planned out ahead of time so there is no guessing

Teachers give so much of themselves all year. Watching this couple get to just show up and enjoy Thanksgiving break without carrying the planning weight is exactly why I love doing this for people I care about.

Fun Fact Friday 🤔
🎃 The pumpkins on Main Street are themed to the actual shops and restaurants they sit in front of — Casey’s Corner gets hot dogs, french fries, and baseballs carved into them. The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor gets ice cream cones and sundaes. The House of Magic gets a rabbit in a top hat, playing cards, and a crystal ball
💈 The Barbershop has four pumpkins carved to look like a singing Barbershop Quartet
🚒 The Firehouse gets a Dalmatian pumpkin, a fire hydrant pumpkin, and one pointing toward the bathrooms
🐘 Storybook Circus got its own pumpkins for the first time in 2025 — Dumbo and Timothy Q. Mouse carved into wreaths on every lamppost throughout the entire land. Timothy is even wearing a Halloween sorcerer’s hat instead of his Ringmaster cap
🎪 They light up from within after dark like flickering candles

Disney didn’t just decorate a theme park.
They decorated every fictional business on the street. 🍂
