Handicap Rights & Rules - this still stands as one of our most asked questions.

1. If you have a valid handicap placard you can park FREE of charge in any legal, unrestricted parking space.
2. If you park in a non-HP designated parking space, the time limits that are in effect there do not apply (e.g. 15/20mins, 2/4hrs).
3. It is unlawful for any holder of an HP placard to park in a restricted area (e.g. no parking zone, cross-hatched areas, loading zones, crosswalks, sidewalks, police vehicles only, or the commercial fisherman lot).
4. It is essential that you have a valid HP placard (not expired, photocopied or altered).
5. The placard must be displayed with the P # and expiration date clearly visible to the parking enforcement officer.

Free Temporary Parking - we would like to announce free parking for visitors and customers in the area surrounding the Water Street Construction Project.

Effective April 1, the parking area encompasses the Memorial Hall parking lot and available open meter and head-in spaces along Water Street from the Rotary to Brewster Street.

Fun fact - office will be open until 6:30pm (tonight only) to accommodate folks that can’t make it before our normally scheduled closing time of 5pm. Credit/Debit card preferred.
