📣Dear friends,

Some of you are aware and some of you are not… but we have been actively advocating for our right to continue hosting private events and occasionally renting our property, despite facing challenges from the town of Raymond.
We cordially invite you to join us at a town meeting tonight at 7 pm at the Jordan Small Middle school portable in Raymond , as we present our case to the zoning board of appeals.
We understand that this is short notice, but we would be grateful if our local friends could attend and show their support.
Unfortunately, we have been unfairly targeted by our local code enforcement officer and neighbor, resulting in fines for having a tent, Porta potty, and parking signs on our property for just one day last summer.
They are attempting to restrict us from hosting events on our property, including weddings, by portraying us as a large commercial wedding business that disrupts the peace.
However, this is far from the truth. The Roma farm is our home and a serene haven where friends and families can gather for intimate events, such as birthday parties, bridal showers, and weddings.
We have always been respectful of our neighbors and mindful of our land rights, and we are eager to demonstrate this to the board.
We kindly ask that you join us tonight and show your support for The Roma Farm. We plan to showcase the true spirit of our community and highlight the positive impact we have had on the town.
We understand if you are unable to attend, and we thank you for your continued support. Although we are not expecting miracles tonight, we remain hopeful that our voices will be heard.
Regardless of the outcome, we will continue to share our little slice of heaven with our friends, family and the community, and we look forward to continuing our mission to bring people together.

I hope you have all enjoyed the glow of the last full moon of 2024. It was a beautiful sight to see here at The Roma Farm. It rose above our little Christmas tree in the backyard.
They call it the Cold Moon, it definitely earned the title this weekend but it also made everything very merry and bright!🌲❣️

‼️If any of our friends of The Roma Farm are at the voting center today in Raymond, please do not sign this petition for banning short-term rentals!

Our neighbor has tried to get the town to side with her to ban the use of our beautiful property as a seasonal rental property and to ban hosting private functions. Her goal is that The Roma Farm never host another private function again of any kind. This ordinance would not only affect us but also any person who wants to rent their property for any short-term or daily rental for extra income.

We will be fighting this, as should any sane person in this town who understands that this would be a huge overreach of the town. We are a seasonal town! The facts are that most of our tax money comes from these seasonal rental properties. We have over 700 seasonal property rentals in our town. That is huge revenue that is good for this town!

By putting people like my neighbor in charge of who can and cannot rent their property or how many people can be on their property is simply wrong. Let's state for the record: she is a hater of all things happy and fun.

This is a direct attack on us. This neighbor has told us that directly and made it clear. We have been nothing but respectful to our surrounding neighbors as we have hosted functions on our property for 17 years, starting with our own wedding in 2007.

The Roma Farm is a beautiful property that we have worked hard to restore, along with our adjoining property that we are currently trying to renovate. We believe in preserving the beauty of the land in Raymond, and that is why we have 45 acres that we have purchased on the top of Raymond Hill.

We have always felt so lucky to have this place and to be able to share the magic and beauty with others. We plan on keeping it that way.

Today they are trying to get enough signatures, and then plan on passing this ordinance behind closed doors. Please support us in this fight!

👻We had another Spooktacular event at The Roma Farm!
Our 17th Annual Halloween Bash.
It was great to see everyone participating in the fun!
Your costumes this year were fantastic… as always!
We are so lucky to have such a great community of friends and family that attended.
Thank you all that donated either your time, your food or your monetary donation! They are all very much appreciated.
A big shout out to Mother Nature who was again kind to us! 🍁
It was a bit windy but we can handle that!

There is a dusting of fluffy white snow this morning and I do love winter and all it’s glory…..But I can’t help think about spring this morning and warmer weather with all the colors that fill the yard here at The Roma Farm…. It’s just so pretty and fills the soul with happiness…. I’m always in awe of the beauty nature creates.
So, I’m going to post some warmer day pictures of our yard and what’s to come in just a few short months ….Take a look and daydream with me.. 😊💐

💧The rain last weekend brought us a unique opportunity to host some of the seniors from Windham Highschool for their homecoming pictures.
With the rain in the forecast and their outdoor plans canceled, they were looking for a place to gather for pics before the homecoming dance.
We were so glad that we could accommodate!

🍁💐☀️It’s Spring! And it’s Maine Maple Weekend! We encourage all of you to go out and support your local Sugar Shacks to get some tasty treats! What else do you have to do on a stormy weekend !? Just drive safe and go enjoy. We have our own here at The Roma Farm but …. Sorry, we don’t share 😬
It’s just our little hobby to get us by until we can play in the gardens.
Go see our friends at Greene Maple Farm in Sebago! They have soooo much good stuff for you to try. 🍁
