Come to the Sparks Museum & Cultural Center after 1pm on Friday’s and receive an 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐲!!

Today (March 9th) marks the 33rd anniversary of the Sparks Heritage Museum building being listed on the National Register of Historic Places - NPS. Originally home to the Sparks Library and Justice Court, the building stands as the oldest existing government structure in Sparks, dating back to its construction in 1931. Featuring a distinctive red brick design, a tiled roof, and a striking semicircular arched entry, it serves as a quintessential example of the Mediterranean Revival architectural style. This historic building was crafted by Frederic J. DeLongchamps, one of Nevada's most renowned architects, celebrated for designing many significant structures across the state. Recognized for its architectural elegance and historical importance, the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 9, 1992.
