25 years ago, our country changed forever when almost 3,000 Americans lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks.

The 9/11 Memorial Service in San Angelo was a touching event that brought out community members of all ages and backgrounds to honor those affected that day and beyond.

We want to thank the San Angelo Police Department, San Angelo Fire Department, Tom Green County Sheriff's Office - Texas, and Goodfellow AFB - 17th Training Wing for putting together this service.

If you were to ask us who one of our highest-level strategic partners is at the Chamber, we’d have to point to the amazing team at City National Bank!

Beyond helping us bring numerous events and programs to the community, including Coffee & Commerce, the Annual Banquet, and Voices of Leadership Luncheons, City National Bank recently chose to deepen its commitment to our community by joining as a Premier Investor Partner!

Since 1900, City National Bank has been at the forefront of progress and growth in San Angelo. Walking through their doors, it’s clear that their team is proud of the opportunity to serve their customers and remain committed to the generations who will follow.

Thank you for your investment in our community and for playing a pivotal role in advancing economic development, business development, workforce leadership, and community prosperity.

Each year, we have the distinct honor of placing flags in the ground of our 9/11 Memorial in San Angelo to commemorate the 2,977 lives lost on that horrible day 25 years ago. This morning, the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce team was joined by San Angelo Police Department , Pam Parsons Callan and San Angelo Rotary Club members Vicki Schkade Terrill, Kent Terrill and Yuki Kuniyuki to do just that. This morning, a ceremony will be held in honor of those who we may not know personally, but each one deserves our respect. I’m so proud of our community for keeping the promise to never forget.

👏 The 44th Class of Leadership San Angelo is officially out of the gate!

Day 1 of our program kickoff was a blast as these 36 professionals got to know one another, took a peek at the 10 months ahead, and had the best time with our special guest, Jody Holland, who we’re so grateful to have joined us again.

Thank you to West Texas Rehab Center for hosting us in your conference center!

Stay tuned- could the 44th be the BEST LSA class? 😉

🌱 Business is growing and expanding in San Angelo!

Our own Andrew Killingsworth and Samuel Helm with the San Angelo Development Corporation recently met with leaders at A+ Fabrication Restaurant Equipment, Sales, & Service, a leader in local restaurant equipment and supplies!

These two men had the opportunity to listen and explore solutions for workforce development and automation needs.

One of the exciting ways we work as a network to promote business is with BREP: the Business Retention & Expansion Program. This incentive program focuses on supporting local employers whose strategic plans may include expanding operations, strengthening their workforce, or remaining competitive in today's fast-moving economy.

🎉 This is no ordinary Ribbon Cutting!

Besides the Grand Reopening of the newly renovated Lone Wolf Bridge, we have grown this celebration to include the entire family! We have combined this Ribbon Cutting ceremony with our Crash the Class Mixer to be a fun block party you don’t want to miss!

The Kona Ice Truck will be available for purchases, while the adults can enjoy complimentary beer and seltzers! There will also be a photographer there to take pictures for free, so get ready to say “cheese”! The Ribbon Cutting ceremony will be around 5:30 PM, and we encourage everyone to stick around after and enjoy the bridge network as well.

The party is open to the entire community! For LSA Members, however, there will be a raffle drawing at 6 PM for the WTRC Dinner Show tickets at 6:00 PM, must be present to win!
The area where the old fire tower is will be open to help with parking.

We hope to see you there!

We are so grateful to Drew Darby of the House of Representatives for speaking at our Voices of Policy Luncheon this week, where he laid out the current initiatives and future plans for Texas.

The Cactus Hotel was filled with professionals from all sectors of the Concho Valley, connecting with new people and listening for their role in growing our region.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend and to all of our partners who helped bring this event to life, including City National Bank, KLST News, San Angelo Development Corporation, Howard College San Angelo, Shannon Medical Center, and The Cactus Hotel.

If you missed this event, don’t worry! We have no shortage of opportunities to help you connect, learn, grow, network, and celebrate!
