In a world where it seems that everybody is trying to differentiate and stay far from crowds, the "top lists" found online merely direct travelers to the same places and attractions, which end up inevitably becoming overrun with crowds. This phenomenon can often lead to attraction fatigue and a loss of authenticity, disappointing travelers and frustrating the locals who actually call these places Home.

At See Italy Travel, we do not send our clients to places that end up on lists, but to intimate, authentic, and off-the-beaten-path experiences that don't leave a lasting mark solely on their camera rolls, but in their hearts and souls.

With the passionate work of our expert travel advisors, we open doors to the side of Italy that may not always be the most aesthetic, picture-worthy, or trendy, but that excites, invigorates, and inspires travelers to immerse themselves in the real beating heart of Italy.

How can we confidently create our bespoke itineraries? Our team spends the year revisiting hotels, meeting local producers, walking new routes, and strengthening relationships with the people who make each destination special. That firsthand knowledge allows us to recommend the right place at the right time, whether it's a boutique hotel before it fills, a natural wine producer during harvest, or a quiet coastal town that offers the charm and beauty of the Amalfi coast but with half of the crowds.

Our journeys aren't built from search results but from direct experience and approval.

Ten horses racing for ninety seconds and a rivalry that is seven hundred years in the making. This annual event cannot be missed!

The Palio di Siena isn't just a historic race, it's an entire city displaying pride and fierce loyalty as each "contrada" carries centuries of tradition into Piazza del Campo, and for those ninety seconds, the entire city cheers in anxious breath.

This is a side of Italy we love sharing, the one you feel in your chest before the horses even enter the historic piazza.

Planning your experience watching the Palio di Siena with See Italy allows you that insider access that makes your entire trip just as special and just as unique as the event itself.

Frescoed ceilings, timeless details, beautiful marble countertops, and pastries that have been perfected since 1903.

Even a simple coffee break in Italy is extraordinary.

Would you take your coffee on the terrace overlooking the square, or inside this cafe fit for nobility?

Would you sit for a coffee outside or inside?

This is what it looks like when travel advisors stop merely selling Italy and start living it first hand!

Last month we brought a group of our top travel designers to Sardinia to see not merely the coast they already knew, but to also experience its soul. During the week, these curious and wonderful ladies lived, ate, and explored Sardinia as the locals do.

This is the Sardinia that exists when you step outside of the box, and this is exactly how we build the experiences we propose. Our aim is to live them first, with the people who will eventually share them with their clients, because the only way to sell something authentic is to have created that bond yourself!

You've seen Italy, but have you driven it?

Most of us see the commute as something to get through.
Eyes on the destination.
However, Italy treats it differently. Some of the best scenery happens between places, not only at them.

There's Tuscany, where cypress trees and wheat fields roll by so slowly it feels like the 1600s never ended. Locals still take the long way with no particular reason.

Then Rome, where even the drive in feels like it's building toward something. People fall for this city before they've even parked the car.

South Tyrol pulls you up into the Alps, switchbacks climbing higher and higher. It's brutal and beautiful in equal measure, the kind of drive Italians talk about after they arrive to their destinations.

Turin moves differently. Wide boulevards and quiet elegance, a city that rewards you for slowing down
And then, of course, theres the Amalfi Coast. all hairpin turns and that late afternoon light that hits the waterand mountains. With our skilled drivers, even the most narrow roads are no challenge.

This is the whole idea behind how we plan trips, we don't always recommend the fastest route, sometimes we recommend the one that shows you an unexpectedly unforgettable view.

Which road would you take first? Tell us where you're headed and we'll build the drive around it.

Italian life doesn't end when the sun sets.

The beaches, the museums, the churches, and the monuments are essential to experiencing authentic Italian life, but if you ask anyone who live there, they'll tell you the good stuff continues even as the sun goes down.

In summer months, at around 8 or 9, once it's finally bearable outside again, whole families end up on the street, without a plan or destination in mind...It's called the "passeggiata."
If you happen to be near the water during one of these walks, you'll notice something else going on.

Gelato, late night dinner, and chats in the piazza...
The older folks don't miss out either. You'll see them with a chair pulled right outside their front door, just watching the street go by. In Italy, everyone partakes.

This is Italy the See Italy way.

Fresh doesn't get more literal than this.

Straight off the boat, cut and weighed on the water.
It is common for fishermen pull up directly beside boats, knife in hand, and sell the day's catch fresh from the sea.

Tag someone who needs to see how fresh "fresh fish" really is in Sicily.
