I’ve been wanting to show up with less polished content for you where I can.

This felt like that right opportunity. There’s so much pressure for everything you put online as a content creator to be gorgeous. So here is my non aesthetic, unapologetic, piece of art with no audio behind my videos. ✌🏻 Let me explain…

A dear friend and I went to to experience one of their new abstract texture workshops.

I felt messy and directionless the entire time and most importantly… free. I’m always hesitant to join in on art experiences because I have this narrative about myself that I am a “bad artist”

But here in this space, I was Free to create whatever the heck I wanted. Free to create and BS, and laugh with my girlfriend the whole time and celebrate whatever showed up on the canvas. End product simply didn’t matter. It was about the scraping, and the mixing and the layering.

If that sounds like an environment you’d like to do art in, check out one of the many workshops or open studio times Art Magic has to offer.

Rooftops, harbor views, and a menu that reads like a Mediterranean passport. 🌊
sd transported me straight to the coastlines of Sicily, Corsica, and Tunisia all from the third floor of the InterContinental San Diego.
The whipped feta dip was an immediate yes, and the whole fish was Impeccably fresh.

The views of the harbor are stunning…they offer blankets and heaters if you want to stay outside (highly recommend), though we moved in for the lighting. Either way, you won’t want to leave.

A few things worth knowing: their beverage program is gorgeous — think indigenous Mediterranean wines, low-ABV cocktails, and regional beers. Every Thursday they do 50% off the full wine list during golden hour. And dining here includes complimentary 3-hour parking with a $50 spend, so there’s truly no reason to rush.

San Diego has a new rooftop obsession and her name is Garibaldi. ✨

San Diego’s Beloved has a BRAND NEW HOME on top of in Little Italy
I visited this more intimate setting for an afternoon showing of one of my favorite movies of all time, The Greatest Showman, and I can’t wait to come back for the nighttime vibes.
The staff is friendly as ever, the premium snacks and sound have not changed. Make sure you schedule a time to check out their new home soon.

Offering plenty of breakfast standards, house made baked goods and community atmosphere you can feel, it’s become one of my go to spots before any north county weekend hike.
