Día de los Mu***os isn’t just a cultural celebration—for paranormal investigators, it is the most active time of the year. 🕯️

From now through November 2nd, Old Town San Diego transforms. Thousands of marigolds and glowing ofrendas are set up to intentionally invite the spirits of the departed back to the living world.

When an entire historic district actively invites spirits to return, the ambient energy of the city shifts drastically.

During this two-month window, our baseline EMF readings at spots like El Campo Santo Cemetery and the Victorian mansions of Heritage Park become wildly unpredictable. The cold spots are sharper. The residual energy of the lawless 1880s frontier feels heavy, immediate, and undeniably close. The veil between worlds is physically thinning right now in Old Town.

We don't just tell ghost stories. We track the physical shifts in the atmosphere, and right now, the grid is entirely lit up.

👇 Have you ever experienced a sudden, unexplainable cold spot or EMF spike in Old Town? Tell us exactly where it happened below!

Saturday nights in San Diego have always been wild, but nothing today compares to the lawless peak of the 1880s Stingaree district. 🌑

Before the crackdowns of the early 1900s transformed the Gaslamp, this area was ruled by powerful figures of the underworld. The most famous was Madam Ida Bailey and her high-class brothel, the Canary Cottage. While you might be looking at a beautiful historic building from 1903 today, the ground it sits on is soaked in the gritty, unvarnished history of Ida’s empire.

Don't just walk past these historic facades. Meet our in the dark, and let our master storytellers tell you exactly what happened to the Canary Cottage and the outlaws who ruled this grid.

It’s Friday night in the Gaslamp Quarter, and the bars are packed. But if you want to drink exactly where the most notorious figures of the 1880s frontier drank, there is only one place to go. 🥃

Welcome to The Tivoli Bar and Grill.

Established in 1885, the Tivoli is the oldest bar in the Gaslamp. Back when this area was the lawless, chaotic Stingaree district, this saloon was the epicenter of frontier action. It survived the brawls, the vigilante justice, and the heavy hitters of the era.

The most famous regular? Wyatt Earp. During his time running three gambling halls right here in San Diego, Earp was a frequent patron of the Tivoli. The wooden bar you can lean against tonight has absorbed over a century of incredible history.

Grab a drink at the Tivoli to start your Friday night, then meet our crew in the dark. We will show you exactly what Wyatt Earp and the Stingaree outlaws left behind.

As the beautiful Fiesta de Reyes celebrations light up Old Town this month, it is the perfect time to talk about the actual history of this 3,000-year-old tradition.

Old Town San Diego—the historic birthplace of Alta California—is deeply rooted in this tradition. The marigolds you see everywhere aren't just decorations; their vibrant color and scent are meant to guide the spirits back home.

This duality is what makes Old Town so incredibly active. By day, the plaza honors the dead with beautiful ofrendas. But step into the shadows at El Campo Santo Cemetery or the surrounding Victorian mansions, and you will feel the undeniable, heavy residual energy of the lawless 1880s frontier.

Celebrate the culture by day, and walk the history with us by night.
