Update from Bolivia... Our private Illampu team has had an incredible few days in the Condoriri Range! 🏔️

Yesterday, the team summited Cabeza de Cóndor (18,530 ft). Today, they continued the momentum with successful ascents of Tarija and Pequeño Alpamayo via the Direct Route (17,555 ft).

Tomorrow, the team will head back to La Paz for some well-deserved rest, laundry, and a celebratory steak dinner. 🥩

Over the weekend our team in Ecuador reached the summit of Cotopaxi in what could only be described as classic Type 2 Fun conditions.

Type 2 Fun (noun): An activity that is unpleasant, difficult, exhausting, or miserable while it's happening, but becomes enjoyable, meaningful, and rewarding in retrospect.

Our private Illampu Expedition, led by has been acclimatizing around La Paz (~12,000ft) before heading into the stunning Condoriri Massif. Taking the time to adjust to the altitude helps set the stage for the climbs ahead.

Conditions on the ground in Bolivia have required a few adjustments, but the team is flexible and looking forward to getting into the mountains! 🏔
