🎃 What if Halloween was never really about ghosts… but about finding your true love? 🕯️

Long before Halloween became a night of costumes, candy, and jack-o’-lanterns, it was believed to be one of the most mysterious nights of the year.

A night when the veil between the living and the spirit world grew thin… and the future could reveal its secrets.

According to an old Halloween tradition, an unmarried woman could discover the face of her future husband through a rather unsettling ritual.

At the stroke of midnight, she would enter a dark room, light a single candle, eat an apple, and stare into a mirror.

If she waited long enough, the face of the man she was destined to marry would appear in the reflection… standing just behind her.

But here’s the creepy part.

In one version of the old folklore, she was instructed not to look behind her.

Imagine seeing someone in the mirror… knowing you’re completely alone. 👀

Perhaps that’s why old barns, ancient trees, and quiet woods feel a little different around Halloween.

As though they’re keeping secrets from another century.

And maybe some love stories really are written by fate… while others are whispered by spirits. 🖤

Some things are simply meant to be. 🤍

And Addi & Hunter’s story is one of them.

Wedding season has been a whirlwind for us — back-to-back weddings, venue tours, and inquiries across all three of our wedding properties.

Addi and Hunter had reached out about scheduling a tour in November, and we were still trying to coordinate the perfect time.

But apparently, life had other plans. 🤍

After a wedding, one of our team members stopped by Velora to look for something he had accidentally left behind.

And at that exact same time, Addi and Hunter, visiting from out of state and hoping to see Velora before heading home, decided to stop by.

No scheduled tour. No arrangements. Nobody was even supposed to be there.

Yet somehow, they were all there at the same moment.

And when I finally reached back out to schedule their tour, I got the sweetest surprise — they had already seen Velora. And they had fallen in love.

After a few more conversations, they made it official!

ANOTHER YES TO VELORA! 🤍

Call it coincidence, fate, or a little divine timing… but sometimes the right people find the right place at exactly the right moment.

✨ **Whoever invented the wedding sparkler exit deserves a standing ovation!** 👏💍

Because apparently, saying “I DO” wasn't dramatic enough… we needed a tunnel of sparkling lights, a movie-worthy kiss, and 50 people cheering like it's the finale of a romantic comedy! 😂✨
