Today was a weather guy mess up in a big way. The Sherwin Williams group was super awesome and waited out some pretty big thunder storms to run a midday trip missing the hot morning bite.

They did great in waves and only a few fish escaped. It was a bit rough offshore so we stayed in close. Thanks again!

Inside information, Captain Dan did not feed the Honda either!

Today's group was Atlas Molded Products with guests scattered over several midwest states. The weather was tricky with thick fog to start but the storms stayed north of Sheboygan for all the good clean living we have here. The fog lifted and the fish were biting all day.

We ran the Ashey Rapala with more success.

The morning bite wasn't spectacular for us and we went off shore. They landed a very nice coho off shore on a plug and and hit a few more fish out there. Rainbows were a bit of an escape artist.

Today's catch was Cohos, Kings, Rainbows and Lakers.

Even a friendly Game Warden visit and everyone was in compliance, having their fishing licenses printed off. Thanks guys for another fun trip!

The weather forecast people have the best job! I probably would have had fun pretrial conferences with the DA if I made decisions like the weather people guessing game. Obviously not 1 foot waves today.

The Honda prop was half in the water this morning and we called it shortly after setting up.

Legit charters have commercial insurance as part of cost for doing business and I don't want any twisted ankle injuries. Trying again on Tuesday.

What a fun day on the water with a great first time group from MN. The fish are still biting hard and our fishing friends suggested going north after pounding kings south earlier this week. I listened and north we went!

On a side note one board broke off and sank with the whole works. The first person I told my story was the Lake Effect crew during my DNR survey work at the Wharf. They recovered it submerged with a king still hooked! Incredible ending. Probably should by a lottery ticket since its a board that missed its Sharpie branding.

Stevens Point area plus a gentleman from Singapore out today. The weather man didn't get it right again and unfortunately warm water blew in creating some rollers.

We tried to adapt so of course meat came out. Meat took 2 and unfortunately it wasn't the magic bait as I hoped.

The lake was super nice the last few hours.

We have Thursday and Friday open. Weekends are booked up.

Fished today after a big wind event canceled fishing yesterday. A super awesome couple from central WI fished in ideal conditions today. I chose to try north again and we had bites but in hindsight, information suggested south went better. We tossed back some smaller fish but Amber commented she is happy with a short nap on the Yeti, caught fish, and the Weather Center hooked her up with a coffee for the drive home!
