I feel the painful energy of the world
And I cannot control my tears
This darkness being unfurled
In the eyes I see their fears
The death among us with no remorse
The senseless inhumane foot on our necks
The feeling we have no recourse
That we have no muscle to flex
The deaths in Gaza and Ukraine
A narcissistic leader inflicting pain
Our people divided on what’s wrong and right
The energy of fear enveloping the world
A man made decree of war and plight
In our ignorance we bring this upon ourselves.
And we cry
And when the tears flow no more
We stand and walk forward
To live another day
