And just like that, another fishing season at Wild Strawberry Lodge is in the books. 🎣
Yesterday, we said goodbye to our final guests, and today the lodge feels a whole lot quieter.
It’s hard to sum up an entire season in one post. Months of early mornings on the docks, full fish boxes, big kings, halibut pulled up from the deep, silver salmon chaos, long days on the water, incredible meals, and plenty of stories told around the lodge at the end of the day.
But as much as we love the fishing, this place has always been about the people.
To every guest who traveled to Sitka to spend a few days with us this year, thank you. Whether it was your first trip to Alaska or your tenth, a bucket-list adventure, a family tradition, or simply an excuse to get back on the water, we’re grateful you chose to make Wild Strawberry Lodge part of it.
And to our captains, deckhands, kitchen crew, lodge staff, office team, processors, local businesses, and everyone behind the scenes who keeps this operation moving day after day: thank you. A season like this takes a tremendous amount of work, and we couldn’t do it without you.
We’re tired, grateful, proud, and already looking forward to doing it all over again.
