Fostering civic leaders for 40 years 🙌

Leadership Eugene Springfield has officially begun for the 2026-27 cohort of emerging and established professionals. The new cohort recently celebrated the beginning of the eight-month civic leadership program with a kickoff event and their first class. Thank you to the kickoff reception sponsor, AIMS Mobile Nursing, as well as Bigfoot Beverages for providing beverages and Charred Apizza for catering.

Established in 1986, Leadership Eugene Springfield is a joint program with the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce that helps participants develop leadership skills, deepen their knowledge, and enhance their community network.

Bringing Cajun seafood to Springfield 🦞

Last week, the Springfield Chamber held a ribbon cutting ceremony in honor of the grand opening of Cajun Claws Seafood Boil House. Located on Pioneer Parkway East, this new restaurant offers a selection of fresh seafood boils and a hands-on dining experience.

A ribbon cutting worth a thousand words 📸

The Springfield Chamber recently celebrated the grand opening of Ofelia Guzmán Photography’s studio space with a ribbon cutting! From maternity photography sessions to headshots, Ofelia Guzmán Photography offers tailored services to capture moments and meet client needs. This grand opening featured live music from Mariachi Del Sol and brought together family, friends, city officials, and community members to recognize the exciting milestone.

Time for chicken 😋

Yesterday, Raising Cane's officially cut the ribbon at their grand opening in Gateway. The Springfield area community showed up for the big celebration, and some attendees even waited in line overnight to win one year of free Raising Cane’s food. With live music, giveaways, and an appearance by the University of Oregon Duck, this ribbon cutting was an occasion to remember.

Connecting and growing with the Oregon Chamber community 🙌

Last week, the Springfield Chamber of Commerce staff, Chamber Ambassadors, and Springfield Chamber Greeters learned and engaged with business professionals from across the state.

Chamber Greeters and Ambassadors took a trip to the coast for the Oregon State Ambassadors Conference, hosted by the Florence Area Ambassadors, and the Springfield Chamber staff headed up to Salem for the Oregon State Chamber of Commerce Annual Leadership Conference. Both conferences featured engaging speakers, insightful discussions with fellow Chamber representatives, and plenty of fun times with the team.

Thank you to the OSCC board and planning committee, Florence Area Ambassadors, speakers, sponsors, and Oregon Chamber community for making these incredible conferences possible! We are excited to be back in Springfield to continue our work of supporting the local business community.
