It’s almost time for the weekend and as always - we’re sharing some ideas for the family!

Friday: Drop off the kids at for a fun kid’s movie night while you enjoy a quiet dinner at one of their restaurants. The little ones will be looked after and have the time of their life watching a movie. The show starts at 5.30pm and it’s R265 per child. 🎬

Saturday: is presenting another fabulous magic show at this weekend! Everyday objects twist, float, vanish and transform right before your eyes and sometimes in your own hands. I’ll be taking our kids, too! Because we all love some good magic tricks. Tickets starts from R165 per person. 🪄

Another magical place is the brand-new in Milnerton. It’s a play heaven for kids aged 0-10 years old and they can dive into unlimited imaginary play. Whether they shop around in the kitchen, repair cars, play in the artificial sand or dress up - the choice will be theirs and you can supervise with a nice coffee in hand. 👗

Sunday: Until September, is running a fabulous special for kiddies and families. Children aged 4-17 hop on the day tour ticket for only R65! You can drive around, hop on and off the different stations and explore the city in your own pace! They also offer a Family Combo Deal for the entire fam! Check it out. 🚌

One stop along the bus route is in Hout Bay. Take a tour and admire a huge variety of birds, mammals and the cutest monkeys. It’s always worth a visit with fun animal encounters and educational purpose. Entrance is R60 for children and R145 for adults. 🦅

The last picture looks like the opening scene of a new Simpsons episode, but for us it’s actually closing a chapter and starting new adventures in a new home. 🏡

We made lots of amazing memories in this house and it’s also sad to leave it empty after 5 years... But now we’re looking forward to new beginnings... 🤗

A BIG Thank You goes out to the team of for making this the smoothest move we’ve ever had.

From booking their services, to communicating with the team and handling the entire show - it was an absolutely amazing experience and we couldn’t be more happy with our choice! 🙏

The team arrived on time, wrapped our home to keep the furniture safe, packed everything as quickly as possible and placed everything back into our new home - without letting us touch a single piece of furniture to help! There were times during the day where I felt completely useless in all the chaos, but I guess that it a good thing 😂

They took a lot of the stress away from us and we truly appreciate their professionalism. We can highly recommend them in case you’re moving house, country or animals. They simply do it all! ❤️

We’re sharing a little image gallery of one of Cape Town’s most exciting new spots for families — and yes, it’s as good as it looks 😍

in Milnerton opened its doors and we are genuinely impressed. The space is beautiful, the play zones are incredibly thought-through, and there is a proper café where parents can sit down and relax while the kids are having the time of their lives.

From the little ones in Mini Maison, to budding fashionistas twirling in the dress-up boutique, future mechanics tinkering in the garage, tiny shoppers pushing trolleys through the mini supermarket, and sand pit chaos that somehow stays contained — there is something for every child here.

And nobody is watching the clock. No session time limits. Just good vibes until your kid literally cannot play anymore.

A 10-year-old Cub Scout from 1st Muizenberg Sea Scouts taught herself to knit, raised money to buy looms and wool, and then taught her whole pack how to do it too.

Why? To make tiny beanies for the premature babies at Mowbray Maternity Hospital, where close to 1,000 babies are born every single month.

What started as one girl completing a personal challenge turned into an entire community knitting circle, with Cubs, Scouts, women from the local area, and even a former NICU nurse all showing up for the tiniest patients in Cape Town.

Her name is Grace. She is working towards the Leaping Wolf, the highest badge a Cub Scout can earn. And she used it to build something genuinely beautiful.

Link in the first comment if you want the full story. It is a good one.

Take a tour with me! We’re showing you a sneak peek of the brand-new — Cape Town’s brand new premium play café in Milnerton — and honestly, this one’s something special.

There’s a soft play zone for the tiny babies, a sand pit (clean PP sand, not beach-in-your-car sand), a dress-up boutique with a selfie station, a mini supermarket with actual tiny trolleys, a car repair garage, a fruit & veg picking zone, AND a big climbing frame with a slide.

The kids are completely occupied. The coffee is hot. No session time limit. You stay as long as smiles last.
