Serengeti National Park – Day 3

Ed has experienced some truly incredible wildlife sightings in the breathtaking Serengeti National Park. From majestic lions and elusive leopards to graceful cheetahs, every game drive has delivered unforgettable moments.

The Serengeti is also a paradise for bird lovers, and Ed has been treated to some of the most magnificent bird species Africa has to offer. With stunning landscapes, abundant wildlife, and spectacular photographic opportunities around every corner, Day 3 has certainly been another highlight of his safari adventure.

The Serengeti Adventure Continues

Ed flew by scheduled charter flight into the breathtaking Serengeti, where he has been treated to some truly magnificent wildlife sightings. From adorable lion cubs and the awe-inspiring Great Migration to endless golden plains and picture-perfect landscapes, every moment has been unforgettable.

Ngorongoro Crater

The game viewing has been absolutely incredible for Ed during his safari adventure. From witnessing the spectacular Great Migration to seeing a lion kill and watching hippos play in the water, every day has delivered unforgettable wildlife encounters.

The Ngorongoro Crater continues to showcase some of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife experiences, and Ed has been fortunate enough to witness nature at its very best. These are the moments that make a safari in Tanzania truly extraordinary. 🦁🐘🦛

Day 2 in Tarangire 🐘🦒

Wow! Ed has sent through some of the most beautiful wildlife photographs from his safari in the stunning Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is famous for its incredible elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife, and Ed’s photos truly capture the magic of this special place. Every image showcases the beauty and raw wilderness that make Tanzania such an unforgettable safari destination.

Holiday to the Serengeti

Ed was referred to Rupert Africa and has been keeping us updated on his incredible African adventure.

His journey began in Arusha before heading into the beautiful Tarangire National Park, where he stayed at Katikati Tented Camp. I love recommending tented camps to my clients because they offer an authentic safari experience. Being surrounded by nature and hearing the sounds of the African bush at night makes you feel truly connected to Africa.

East Africa has always been such a huge part of Rupert Africa and there is nothing more rewarding than confidently sending my clients to lodges and safari experiences that I have personally visited or experienced myself.

Over the past year we have received a few enquiries for horse safaris in both Kenya and Tanzania. My East Africa ground handler highly recommended the horse safari experiences in Tanzania, especially around the Arusha and Mount Meru region where a number of incredible horseback safari operators are based.

I decided that before recommending a horse safari to clients, I really wanted to experience it myself. The only small challenge.. I first needed some proper training and confidence in the saddle.

My horse safari is set for 2027, so there is still time to build confidence and improve my riding skills. Thankfully many of the horseback safari operators in Tanzania cater for different riding abilities, from Novice to experienced riders.

What has really stood out to me is how unique horseback safaris are compared to a traditional safari vehicle experience. Riding quietly through the bush, surrounded by wildlife, offers such an authentic and intimate connection with nature. Guests regularly encounter zebra, wildebeest, antelope and giraffe from horseback in areas around Arusha and Dolly Estate near Mount Meru.

I’m already starting to feel far more confident and excited for this incredible adventure ahead and even more confident about being able to recommend a horseback safari experience in East Africa to future Rupert Africa clients.
