📍 We Get Asked This Often

"Where should we stay in Cape Town?"

It's one of the questions we're asked most often.

And my answer is always the same...
It depends on the kind of holiday you want to have.

If your idea of the perfect holiday is waking up to the sound of the ocean, walking to restaurants, and ending the day with a spectacular sunset, then Camps Bay or Clifton could be exactly what you're looking for.

If slowing down, enjoying mountain views, award-winning food, and exploring wine estates is more your style, I'd suggest looking at Franschhoek or Stellenbosch.

If you'd like to be close to many of Cape Town's biggest attractions, with plenty of restaurants, shopping, and the harbour right on your doorstep, the V&A Waterfront is always a popular choice.

And if you'd rather escape the crowds, Noordhoek or Constantia offer a quieter side of Cape Town, with beautiful scenery, excellent restaurants, and a more relaxed pace.

The truth is, there isn't one best place to stay.

There's only the place that's best for you.
That's why we always start by getting to know the kind of holiday you have in mind before recommending where to stay.

Because the right location doesn't just change where you sleep...

It changes the entire experience.

💬 If you were planning your Cape Town getaway, which would you choose?

We've learnt not to rush anyone along Chapman's Peak Drive.

No matter how carefully we plan the day, people always want to stop.

For photos.
To watch the waves.
Or simply because the view catches them by surprise.

It's one of those places where the journey becomes part of the holiday.

Whenever we're building a Cape Town itinerary, we try to include it if time and weather allows. Not because it's another attraction to tick off, but because it's one of those moments people still talk about long after they've gone home.

Sometimes the best part of travelling isn't arriving somewhere.
It's the road that gets you there.

One of the things we enjoy most about planning holidays in Cape Town is that no two itineraries are ever alike.

Some travellers want to spend their mornings on the golf course.
Others are looking for hidden cafés, wine estates and local markets.
Some want adventure.

Others simply want a beautiful place to slow down and rest.

That's why we start with people before we start with places.

The best holiday isn't about seeing everything.

It's about experiencing the right things.
Every recommendation we make comes from listening first and then building a trip around what matters most to you.

That's the part of travel planning we'll never get tired of.

Whenever we recommend a day in the Winelands, someone inevitably says,

"We don't really drink wine."

Our answer is always the same.

Go anyway.

Some of our favourite memories from the Winelands have had nothing to do with what's in the glass.

It's the drive through the vineyards.

The old oak-lined streets.

Long lunches that somehow turn into slow afternoons.

One of my favourite afternoons in Franschhoek isn't about wine at all. It is sitting on the terrace at Haute Cabrière, looking over the valley with a great cup of coffee and wondering where the afternoon disappeared.

Add in boutique shops, art galleries, incredible coffee and some of the best food you'll find anywhere in the country, and you'll quickly realise the wine is only one part of the experience.

If you're visiting Cape Town, don't skip the Winelands because you think it's only for wine lovers. You'd be missing one of the most beautiful parts of the Western Cape.

If you don't drink wine, what's the one thing that would convince you to spend a day in the Winelands?

One question we get asked surprisingly often is, "Can you actually tell the difference between the two oceans?"

The short answer? Yes.

When we're planning an itinerary, it's something we genuinely think about. Camps Bay, Clifton and the Atlantic Seaboard have a completely different feel to places like Muizenberg or Fish Hoek.

The Atlantic side is dramatic. Cooler water, incredible sunsets, rugged coastline.

The False Bay side feels softer, often warmer for swimming, and has a slower pace that many families absolutely love.

It's one of those little details visitors don't always know before they arrive, but it can make a real difference to the kind of holiday you have.

That's why we don't just book accommodation, we help match people with the Cape Town they'll enjoy most.

Cape Town’s beauty goes far beyond the coastline.

The Cape Floral Kingdom is one of the most unique ecosystems in the world — making every drive, hike, vineyard, and mountain view part of something extraordinary.

This is the side of Cape Town most travellers never fully discover.

Luxury travel is often defined by where you stay.

But more often, it’s defined by what you don’t have to think about.

The driver who is already waiting.
The check-in that happens without delay.
The transitions that feel seamless, not scheduled.

At Apricity Travel, we focus on the details that most people only notice when they go wrong.

Because when everything is considered, travel feels effortless.
