Tsitsikamma Suspension Bridge Remains Open and Accessible to Visitors During Refurbishment

The Storms River Mouth Trail in the Tsitsikamma Section of Garden Route National Park remains open and accessible to visitors while refurbishment and maintenance work is underway.

Construction is being done in phases to ensure visitor access. Bridges 2 and 3 are currently closed and will reopen on 23 March 2026. The main 77-metre suspension bridge will then close for reconstruction from 24 March to 23 June 2026.

Visitors can still enjoy the scenic trail during this period. Please follow all posted safety signage while visiting.

Look at all these beautiful baobab trees…aren’t they just amazing…? 🤩 ❤️🪾

It is good to be back at Mapungubwe National Park/World Heritage Site again! The landscape is absolutely mesmerizing…..and yesterday we did a heritage tour/bush walk to some archaeological sites where the famous “Golden Rhino” had been found! Very interesting history!

Here is also the “Confluence” where three countries meet (South Africa, Botswana & Zimbabwe) ! 🇿🇦🇧🇼 🇿🇼

Weather is stunning…25 C, blue sky & the sun is out! The perfect winter escape! 😉☀️🌍
