What makes 4 nights aboard Regina so memorable? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

For this family, it wasn't just one thing—it was everything coming together to make their short Whitsundays adventure work.

They loved having plenty of space aboard, including separate sleeping spaces for their children. The open galley made cooking comfortable, while the gas BBQ on the back deck became another favourite for easy meals on the water.

Then there were all the extras that turned each anchorage into another adventure—stand-up paddleboards, snorkelling equipment and a well-maintained tender ready for exploring beyond the boat.

But a great bareboat holiday starts before you even leave.

They also highlighted the pre-departure sail that helped them become familiar with Regina, plus Wes' help planning an itinerary that allowed them to make the most of their four-night window.

🌅 Just when you think a Whitehaven sunset couldn’t get any better… look beneath the surface.

Captured in the clear shallows of Whitehaven Beach, this stingray quietly glided through the water as the reds and golds of the sunset reflected around it.

It’s one of those Whitsundays moments you couldn’t plan if you tried.

Stingrays can be spotted in the shallow waters around the islands, but like all wildlife encounters, you never quite know when one might appear. The best thing to do is give them space, watch quietly and enjoy the privilege of seeing them in their natural environment.

The Whitsundays have stories that reach far beyond the views.

According to the Ngaro Dreamtime story shared on this sign, long ago there were no islands—only the vast blue of the sea.

The Rainbow Serpent travelled through the water, laying her eggs as she went. Those eggs remain today as the islands scattered across the Whitsundays.

It’s a beautiful story that offers another perspective on the landscape we sail through—the islands not simply as destinations, but as places connected to stories passed down through generations.

When exploring the Whitsundays, take the time to stop, read the signs, learn about the cultural stories of the area and appreciate that there is much more here than turquoise water and beautiful beaches.
