THE FUTURE OF FLIGHT COMES TO THE GOLD COAST

We’re pleased to announce an exciting new chapter for Gold Coast Helitours, with the signing of a Letter of Intent with Japanese eVTOL manufacturer SkyDrive to introduce its SKYDRIVE aircraft to the Gold Coast.

The agreement represents SkyDrive’s first partnership with an Australian operator and outlines plans for up to five aircraft, with the first two targeted for delivery in 2028.

Subject to regulatory approvals and certification, the partnership aims to launch scenic eVTOL flights from our existing heliport at Marina Mirage, Main Beach, offering a new, quieter and more sustainable way to experience the Gold Coast from above.

The proposed scenic route will take in the Broadwater, Southport and Surfers Paradise, with flights expected to provide an approximately 10-minute aerial experience.

For more than 30 years, Gold Coast Helitours has been proud to showcase our coastline from the sky. This partnership represents an exciting step forward as we look towards the future of aviation, tourism and advanced air mobility on the Gold Coast.

We look forward to working alongside SkyDrive as we progress this vision and continue to explore what the future of flight can look like for our region.

Another year, another incredible weekend in the sky. Did you spot us over the 3 days at the Pacific Airshow? 🚁🔥

We’re proud to have been the official media helicopter for another year, capturing the action from an angle you simply can’t get from the beach.

While the crowds looked to the skies, our Gold Coast Helitours team was up there alongside Matt Hall, Kris Sieczkowski and Jason “Easty” Eastope as they took to the skies for an incredible 3-ship display.
