CashBack ….. how to make money while you spend it

I’ve joined CashBack. In a nutshell, by being a little savvy with how you buy items, you can earn money and receive discounts.

I’m still learning, however whenever we spend money at say Coles - by shopping online and doing it through their site, we earn money back. It’s not a huge amount, but it still adds up.

Another long day on the road. Overnight stay at Leyburn, Qld.

Did you know Leyburn is home to the 14th Australia Grand Prix held in 1949? It’s an old mining town (gold) and back during WWII had an airbase which was the last line of defence if we were invaded.

Leyburn has an awesome old pub built in 1863 and is the longest continually licensed premises in Queensland.

There’s a free camp by the river, non powered. A very quiet spot for the night.

One of the best things with our setup is that we can stop anywhere for a break and have a freshly brewed coffee with morning tea. Capachino and iced coffee for us this morning!

Overnight stop in Coonabarabran, NSW. free camping at the golf club. Yesterday there were heaps of locals here for Australia Day - slip and slide for the kids, dosages on the BBQ, live music and plenty of beer.

Great spot to stay. Had Chinese at the club with a coldie.

Back on the road again after 4 months in Canberra.

It’s quite the adventure since leaving gympie in September last year (sounds like a long time ago)

This trip we travelled down the east coast, stayed with relatives at Dooralong, then arrived in Canberra 22 September. Since then we’ve had a few trips to Bathurst for race weekend, house sitting in Dooralong, back for a baby shower in Canberra and then been staying with friends from school since then. There’s been a few trips to Wagga as well.

Today we need to start heading back to Gympie, with a few weeks there before heading back to Darwin again for another Barra adventure.

Canberra has been great - and we’ve been fortunate to stay with friends Arthur and Paula. The city has changed so much since Mel lived there - neither of us have a burning desire to live there - however we do miss our Canberra families.

Stay tuned for the next adventure - this one has been a very quiet one
