Calling all Naracoorte business owners and big thinkers. This one is a one-off.

CONNECTING THE DOTS is a special collaboration evening built around our region's biggest tourist drawcard - the World Heritage-listed Naracoorte Caves.

Regarding Bird Flu in the Limestone Coast
Tursday 7th July a deceased Australian Seabird was report to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline. The bird – a greater crested tern – was found dead at the Robe Marina and has become the first Australian seabird to be detected with H5 bird flu.
As per Clare Scriven MLC, Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, media release on Friday, 10 July 2026 It is important to note this is being treated as an isolated incident. There remains no detections in poultry, primary production or any signs of mass mortalities anywhere in Australia.

If you see sick or dead birds or other wildlife, do not touch them.
Avoid contact. Record what you see. Report it to the Emergency Animal Disease
Hotline on 1800 675 888 from anywhere in Australia.

AI Support for Regional Small Businesses – SA Government Initiative
The South Australian Government, through the Department of State Development (Office for Small and Family Business), has launched the AI Capability Pilot Program to help small and family businesses build confidence and capability with artificial intelligence.

This program is designed for South Australian businesses with fewer than 20 employees and focuses on practical, real‑world ways AI can help save time, lift productivity and support better business decisions — without the hype.

What participating businesses receive:
• A hands‑on AI Build Day
• Tailored one‑to‑one coaching for your business
• Ongoing access to guidance and resources to support safe and ethical AI use, including privacy and cyber basics

This SA Government‑backed pilot is particularly relevant for regional businesses, helping ensure they’re not left behind as AI becomes part of everyday business operations.

Well done to the organisers who have put so much work into getting this event up and running this year!
Normally, our business association runs this event, but as we are currently in recess, we’re delighted to see it continue thanks to their dedication and effort. In particular, we recognise Mon Crossling’s tireless efforts in making this entire event happen as well as Kayla Wellington's amazing decoration skills in Santa's Cave.
✨This free community event is happening tonight – come along and enjoy! ✨

The weather is looking perfect 🤞 there will be lots of fun things for the kids to do- all free! Food and beverages available, bar facilities and of course Santa's Magic Cave where the kids can go and get a photo with Santa and put in their orders for Christmas.
