After 14 days of incredible Ayurvedic treatments at our island paradise Poovar Island Resort and a few other fun activities in our second week, we are rested, rejuvenated and ready to take on life’s challenges as we prepare to head back home. Well done to those who persisted in finishing the jigsaw puzzle ! Next years dates 7-21 September - stay tuned.

The final day of our Taste of Thailand trip and what a week it had been. Today we finished up in Phuket taking in some local sights, lunch and a birthday cake for one of our group. Oh and petrol cost here is about 16 cents a litre. The weather has been amazing but now it’s time to layer up and head back to Perth with a Phuket - Girls on Tour trip planned for next year - stay tuned !!

We arrived in Phuket early evening last night so it was straight to the locql markets for some dinner and shopping. After that we walked about 100 steps to the corner pub for a beer, dinner and a live band playing on the footpath. This morning we headed off to Phi Phi Island on a private speed boat smashing through the waves stopping off for a swim in the lagoon, a visit to Maha Beach and Monkey temple, lunch,more shopping and an elephant tattoo for a couple of the ladies before making our way back to the hotel. It’s our last night for the Taste of Thailand week and what an adventure it’s been !

As the sun sets on our final day in Chiang Mai it’s hard to believe what an amazing time we have had today. We set off early to head to an Elephant Sanctuary where we got to be intimate with them by feeding and patting them in their environment. One of the girls learned the true meaning of an ‘elephant pat’ !!!! From there we had a fsbukous lunch surrounded by amazing orchids and a butterfly 🦋 sanctuary. We fuelled up with coffee before meeting up with our Chef who then took us shopping to buy the ingredients for our 3 hour cooking marathon. Who knew what amazing Thai chefs we would be. A magical day was had by all. Tomorrow we head to our last destination for our Taste of Thailand week.

Day 1 in Chiang Mai started with lunch then off to the top of a mountain to visit a temple. We then headed back down for a city tour, another temple stop where we met some local budhists then freshen up and out for dinner with a cultural dance.
