Getting to meet Team Melli 🇮🇷 was such a surreal experience. Seeing the boys I’ve watched fervently over the last few years turn out to not only be brilliant football players, but also humble people who would sign anything fans wanted them to, and as well as pics even when they were severely and visibly exhausted. Even the head coach Amir Ghalenoi signed our balls, and took time to ask us where we were from, and more.
But the best experience for me was trying to pay for one of our player’s coffee, only for him to flip it on me, and pay for my coffee. What an Iranian! Inshallah our boys continue to do well, and defeat their opponents, starting with Egypt on Friday! Let’s go 🇮🇷 💪
