💒 Isidre Feliu House. Trafalgar Str. 25.

👨🏻‍🎨 Architect: Roc Cot Cot.

Corner building (edifici en xamfrá) projected in 1904 by Roc Cot Cot. The main facade is flanked by two prismatic volumes that form the corner galleries, decorated with wrought-iron flourishes.

The ornamental repertorie featuring plant reliefs on the lintels and bowed railings, as well as the stucco on the blind walls imitating ashlar masonry is characteristic of most buildings in the Example district during the first decade of the 20th century, at the height of the Modernisme movement.

👨🏻‍🎨 Gaudí used 30 shades of blue to solve a problem you'd never notice! 👁️🪄.

When designing Casa Batlló he realized the central light well was much brighter at the top than at the bottom. His solution: Pure genius.

📐 The gradient: he used 30 shades of blue tiles. Deep cobalt at the top absorbs the intense sunlight, while Pearl-whites at the bottom reflect the weaker light. Result?, every single floor gets the exact same natural light.

🌊 The underwater illusion: he also made the lower Windows larger and used wavy glass to scater the light, making visitors feel like they are standing underwater.

It's not just architecture, it's brilliant enginering disguised as Art 👌🏻.

🏰 Santurce House. Valencia str. 293.

👷🏻‍♂️ Architect: Miquel Madorell Rius.
Year: 1905.

Building from 1902-1905, which belong to Pablo Ubarri, Counts of San José de Santurce, an important railway industrialist Who became rich in the Américas.

It is a House between partitions characterized by the poligonal stands located at both ends of the facade. They use weought iron and polichrome stained glass as materials and are crowned with metal turrets coverred with black ceramics.

🏘️ Antoni Perelló House: Girona str. 67.

👷🏻‍♂️ 👷🏻‍♂️ Architect: Roc Cot Cot / Josep Graner Prat.
Year: 1908-1911.

A building between party walls from 1908, featuring a summetrical ground floor with there Tudor arches. On the main floor, two Stone and glass lateral bay Windows stand out, while the other levels alternate continuos and individual balconies.

Construction was started by Roc Cot and completed by Josep Graner in 1911. In 1922, Salvador Selles added the two upper floors and the curvilinear crowning beautifully integrated into the original design.

🏤 Francesc Tarragó House: Girona str. 133.

Architect: Marcel.lià Coquillat Llofriu.
Year: 1908.

An attached building (built between party walls) dating from 1907-1908. The facade, featuring a finish that mímics Stone ashlar masonry, emphasizes the main floor, highlited by a poligonal bay window flanked by two Stone balconies with gothic-style railings.

🏤 Casa Pomar: the architect Joan Rubio undertook the construction of this Modernist building between 1904 and 1906. To overcome the narrowness of the plot, the architect designed an impressive bay window (tribuna) featuring stacked volumes and grand Windows.
The extremely narrow estate is crowned by a Neo-Gothic window that finishes in a triangular shape.

🪄 To truly contemplate the splendid work of art that is Casa Pomar, one must stand right beneath the Edge of the bay window and look Up: from this perspective, you can see the spectacular Green ceramic ornamentations on the basis of both the bay window and the balconies.
The decorations on the bay window beautifully mimic the keel of a ship ⛴️.

Año: 1902.

🪄 Es de las pocas obras en las que el arquitecto tuvo que adaptarse a un solar estrecho con escasas posibilidades de lucimiento. Con todo, compone una fachada de gran riqueza ornamental: balcones individuales de planta semicircular, y la barandilla de la azotea.
